Caion, A Laracha, A Coruña, Spain

Caión is a fishing village and seaside resort in the north of Galicia, 22 km west of A Coruña. It belongs to the municipality of A Laracha.

The beach, which is a good 500 m long, lies in an open bay directly southwest of the village. It has fine light-coloured sand. For its water quality, well-maintained condition, litter disposal, lifesavers and car parks, it has been awarded the so-called Blue Ribbon without interruption for years.

Behind the beach runs a wooden promenade, the Paseo Maritimo. It continues, as a path and as part of the Galician Coastal Hiking Trail, to the west along the cliff.
