Cabo Espichel is a prominent peninsula on Portugal's Atlantic Ocean coastline. It's part of the municipality of Sesimbra in the Setúbal District south of Lisbon. The region around the cape is culturally distinct, in part due to the limited Roman penetration that occurred here compared to most of the rest of Portugal. Seen here in this drone video by content creator and pilot HJMRAPOSO, the cape is home to an important lighthouse. The lighthouse was constructed in 1790 on the site of an old hermitage.
