CHASING SHADOWS — Mountain Bike FPV in Sintra | DJI Avata 2 + Mavic 4 Pro

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Top AirVuz contruibutor and first person view (FPV) pilot ArturCarvalho was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this outstanding video filming mountain bikers plying a challenging trail in Sintra, Portugal just to the northwest of Lisbon. The FPV portions of the video were filmed with a DJI Avata 2, while "establishing" shots were filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 4. The FPV sequences are particularly impressive given the density of the trees that closely line the trail.

Chasing Shadows is a cinematic FPV mountain bike film shot in the forests of Sintra, Portugal, using the DJI Avata 2and DJI Mavic 4 Pro.

This was one of the most challenging drone shoots I’ve done: high speed, narrow trails, trees everywhere, branches cutting through the frame and almost no room for mistakes. The goal was to create a raw, immersive and cinematic chase sequence, following the rider as close as possible while keeping the energy of the forest alive.

Filmed in Sintra with a mix of FPV action shots and cinematic aerial perspectives.
