Amazing footage captured using the DJI Mavic Pro. I flew the drone after hiking up to an altitude of over 17,000ft which was a bit above the top of the Palomani Pass. This was the highest point that we hiked to during our five-day trek around Ausangate and to rainbow mountain. I then took the drone to its max altitude of 500m and flew over 2 miles away while exploring the spectacular glaciers and mountain scenery of Ausangate. According to my flight data the drone reached an altitude of over 19,000ft. The drone performed surprisingly well at such high altitude. The motors had to spin noticeably faster in the thin air but I was still able to get around 20 minutes of flight time out of the battery.
