Behind The FPV Goggles: SFPV
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Drone pilot and competitive racer SFPV (aka Colby Curtola) certainly has staying power. He takes on challenges and projects all over the world and is readily recognized as both a proven champ (with plenty of trophies to back him up) and a fierce competitor in current rankings too. Be sure to see SFPV (weaving his home base of San Francisco into his handle) while in action at the upcoming MultiGP International Open!

Drone Racing and FPV Freestyle are some of the fastest growing sports on the planet. Meet the men and women behind the goggles who are changing the way we see our planet. Colby Curtola, aka SFPV, brought us to the infamous Propsman Warehouse, a place most racing pilots only dream of. He calls it their (they being the Bay Area Crew) playhouse where they setup races almost every weekend. Colby started flying FPV almost a year ago after an old roommate introduced him to his aerial photography drone. From there, he bought a "toy drone" and started practicing flying in the simulator until he was comfortable enough to take the mini quad out into the open. Colby has literally helped mold the sport by building tracks for last season's IDRA California Cup qualifiers. He says he's blown away by how quickly the sport has grown and has some advice to give people just getting started. Thank you for flying with us, Colby!
