Balearic islands: Flying along the coast

May 12th, 2019 Summary of my second day in Mallorca with my two friends from work: Liam and Kathia. We had a blast day. We woke up okay even if we went to party the night before. I kinda decided to take them on a little day trip outside the touristy area to enjoy the beautiful creeks of the coast and obviously, for me, to have some stick time. First time flying over the sea for me. Very scary! Especially considering the fact my quad was failsafing and falling from the sky once or twice every two batteries before while at 30 meters range. I changed the antennas on both my receiver and transmitter and that seems to have solved my issue. Along of puttin my nano rx away from my vtx. After the creeks and the beach, I left Liam and Kathia on another beach where they had a long nap while I went to a abandoned military zone to fly along the cliffs. While I was flying there, suddenly I heard a guy screaming from far at me in Spanish and I was wondering what the hell was that. I couldn't understand what he was saying really and when I removed my goggles he was next to me and had a GoPro on his head. I told him I didn't speak Spanish so he switched to English. He said he was with his friends flying drones in the abandoned house 200 meters away from where I was flying. I told him I'd come say hi and join them when I'll be done with trying to split S inside this house haha. The wind was really giving me a hard time. Once I gave up to get the perfect shot (kinda), I met with them. They had all sorts of drones and flying angle mode. They were trying to get inside this house. And they looked at me and say: "you wanna try it?". And I'm like: "yeah, why wouldn't I?". So I took one pack out from my bag (I had 3 left) and did one battery at the house. It was hilarious because I managed to get in very easily and they were just cheering and screaming of joy the whole time, like they've never seen a drone doing this before. They were so excited that they decided to stop everything they were doing and came with me to the cliffs. On top of the cliffs, there was this bunker that looked really cool, and I was really tempted to powerloop it. But that was actually such a commitment because it was right on top of the cliff and if I didn't get in and out without touching, it would have fallen down the cliffs. But I managed to do it on my first try and I didn't risk to do it again haha. Fun times... Having a sudden fan club, made this whole experience really sweet. Like a little cherry on top of a cake. A perfect way to end the day. They were really nice guys. I had my little fpv screen with me to give them while I was flying and they were watching while I was diving down the cliffs and while my fingers were actually shaking I could hear them being even more scared than I was about it going down there.
