Back country remote island camping on the Kawartha Lakes in Ontario, Canada

Kawartha Lakes is a county located northeast of Toronto, Canada. It represents the gateway to the fabled Cottage Country of Ontario, a vast area of the province containing thousands of lakes and hundreds of thousands of lakeside getaways known here as cottages.  In this drone video by Shaun Rickard, you'll get some great aerial views of taken from a camping trip on an island of one of the Kawartha Lakes.  Despite the backwoods feel, much of the county lies within a 90 minute drive of downtown Toronto.
