Take in these drone videos of a town on one of Italy's largest lakes, compliments of contributor Alessandrone.  Arona is located on the western bank of Lake Maggiore, Italy's second-largest lake by surface area.  It's part of the province of Novara, one of seven which make up the official region of Piedmont.  The area covered by the town has been occupied since pre-historic times, as evidenced by the nearby pre-historic pile dwellings which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.  Arona is a short drive from the city of Milan.
