Aqueduc de Roquefavour

Check out this drone video of France's Roquefavour Aqueduct, compliments of brand-new contributor and pilot Flow13. The aqueduct, which was conceived in the 16th century but not built until the middle of the 1800's, brings water from the Durance River to the city of Marseille. It stands 272 ft. (83 m) above the ground at its tallest point, and is nearly a quarter-mile long (about 1.25k ft. or around 375 m). The Roquefavour Aqueduct was designated as a national historical monument under French preservation laws in 2002.

The aqueduct of Roquefavour is today the highest stone aqueduct in the world.
It was built in the 1800's to transport water from the Durance through the Canal de Provence.
Located 10 minutes from my home, this building has fascinated me since my childhood.
Who better than this stone giant to start my video work.
We could talk about it for hours but just knowing that it has been standing for almost 2 centuries and that today it still supplies 2/3 of the population of Marseille, it is enough to just contemplate it.
