Alabama is the heart of the Southeastern USA.  Like many southern states, it's split between a mountainous Appalachian portion (in Alabama's case, the northern part of the state) and a flat portion under agricultural cultivation.  In the 19th century, Alabama became the center of the vast cotton-growing area which served as the backbone of the economy of the US South through the Civil War.  In this video, 1man1drone gives us a an aerial view of some of the lowland territory of the state in the heart of Dixie.
