AirVuz News gives you a weekly update on what’s going on in the World of Drones.

Our team at AirVuz with partnered Major League Baseball to give fans a unique view of Progessive Field ahead of the All-Star break. We called in the help of our friend, FPV drone enthusiast, and Cleveland Indians pitcher, Trevor Bauer. Bauer flew his custom quad though the ballpark and raced around the bases giving you a first-person view of what a baseball player would see. Check out the article linked in the description to see the full video.

Drones are not leaving a mark in the art world. A design firm in Italy helped create this giant mural, for the Urban Flying Opera project, spray painted entirely by drones. Four Tsuru Robotics drones equipped with paint cans worked for over 12-hours to create this 46 by 39 foot masterpiece. A computer relayed the painting instructions to the drones and monitored them to make sure they didn’t bump into one another.

With shark attacks in the news recently, drones are giving us a frightening new look at what may be lurking near us in the water. The Rogue Droner captured this startling footage of a great white shark swimming near surfers not far from the coast. His message to surfers in the water is that, if a drone is buzzing repeatedly around you, be onalert because that could mean a shark is near. A Florida dad was flying his DJI Mavic 2 Pro over his children at the beach last week when he noticed a large black shadow approaching. He quickly shouted for his kids and other swimmers to get out of the water immediately. In his Instagram post of the shark, he writes that he’ll probably be bringing his drone along on all future beach visits.

Drone manufacturer DJI is striking back amidst all the negative reporting BBC has given to drones. Most recently with the BBC’s documentary “Britain’s Next Air Disaster? Drones” and it portrayals unmanned aircrafts as a threat to our skies. In an open letter DJI said, “As the world’s leader in civilian drones and aerial imaging technology, we feel it is our duty on behalf of the millions of responsible drone users around the globe, to express our deep disappointment at the BBC’s negative portrayal of drone technology and one-sided reporting based on hearsay.” BBC says that they have shown positive uses of drones and that it’s programs are fair.

AirVuz loves rewarding and giving exposure to responsible and talented drone pilots in the community. So stay tuned to AirVuz.com for this week’s Drone Video of the Week winner and the Drone Video of the Month winner for June.
