AirVūz News: World of Drones 12/07/20
Published 12/07/2020 09:28Over the past week the rumor mills in the drone world have been swirling. According to multiple reports, drone industry giant DJI is close to releasing their first FPV drone. DJI, who is known for their prosumer and commercial drones, jumped into the FPV game last year when they released their Goggles and air unit set. All digital and HD, that set became one of the most popular products on the market, and still is. Now with talks of this FPV drone being equipped with a 4k 60 frames per second camera, and still being able to get that real drone racing feel - reportedly topping at 93 miles per hour - DJI is just changing the game once again.
A company out of Seattle is using drones to help replant forests affected by the wildfires. With the United States recording its worst wildfire year in history, many were wondering the best course of action to regenerate forests. That’s where seattle-based drone company DroneSeed comes in. According to DroneSeed CEO Grant Canary, their 8-foot drones up to 50 acres a day and each carry as much as 57 pounds of seed vessels. With a fleet of 5 of those drones, DroneSeed then reforests the areas that have burned down, dropping what are called "seed vessels" into areas where they have the best chance of growing back.
