Scotland is a part of the United Kingdom and makes up about a 1/3 of the UK. It’s about 30,000 square miles. To the South & East is the Lowlands, with Scotland’s biggest cities of Edinburgh & Glasgow. But to the North & West, it’s the highlands, where we’ll keep our focus today. Despite its relatively small area and occupancy, the Highlands have a ton to offer. But before you depart, decide what kind of a trip you want to take!
