The islands shown in are Lefkada, Ithaki, and Kevalonia. These are the central islands of the group, which also includes Corfu, Paxi, Zakynthos, and Kythira. As you'ss see in this video, these islands combine aspects of Greece's Aegean islands to the east with those of Italy to the west; in large measure, this reflects the period during which the Ionian Islands were under Venetian control.
