AV News: The DNC will be a No-Drone Zone

It’s the site of the Democratic National Convention! You’ll see politicians, protests, but in the city of brotherly love, there’s no love for drones.
On it’s website, the FAA says because of the DNC, the city is a ‘no drone zone’ for the length of the convention. The zone is a 30-mile radius from downtown, starting at the Wells Fargo Center. If you violate the FAA’s ruling, you could face civil or criminal charges.
It’s not just drones being kept away from the DNC. The same restrictions apply to model planes- and there are restrictions for piloted aircraft as well. The FAA put up the same restrictions for the Republican National Convention in Cleveland earlier in July.
