AV News: PwC's Commercial Drone Breakdown

Drones are changing the way the business world works. From search and rescue to agriculture to film making...drones have become an integral part of day to day operation...now we have a quantifiable number to prove that. According to a new study done by PricewaterhouseCoopers the worldwide market for commercial drone use has ballooned to just over one hundred twenty seven billion dollars. The study says that commercial drone applications are giving companies a chance to rethink their business and operating models. The PwC study charts out the breakdown of how much value drones will have in each industry...with infrastructure and agriculture leading the way in how much drones will be valued in their business. Michal Mazur, partner and head of Drone Powered Solutions at PwC for Central and Eastern Europe, adds: “We are currently in discussion with several major companies from a wide range of industries about how they can use drones to improve their business processes. This got us thinking about the potential value of the global drone-powered solutions market.
