Big news for an AirVūz-sponsored drone racing pilot…
Shaun Taylor also known as ‘NYT (night) Fury’ came out on top at the Multi-GP championship in Muncie, Indiana. We talked with him about his big win.
Shaun is no stranger to winning- or the Multi-GP championship. Before this year’s race, he was the defending champ- he also won the 2015 title. For a relatively new pilot- he’s really making a name for himself.
Shaun just quit his firefighting job in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to race drone full-time. He builds many of his own creations, and flies what he calls ‘the cricket’- a tiny X-frame drone. He says its size, and design are an advantage.
If Shaun looks familiar- that’s because he is. We caught up with him- and his wife Teng Ma- at Drone Nationals in August. Both were racing. So - being being a two-time championship Multi-GP racer, and one of the top 10 drone pilots in the world, where does he go from here? A strong list of accomplishments from someone still very new to the world of drone racing.
