Apple says there are more than one billion of it's devices *active* across the world. There's a good chance you're watching this on an iPhone, or iPad. Now we're getting a "drone's eye view" of what will be the Apple headquarters.
The project was originally pitched back in 2011 by the late Steve Jobs. Fast forward 5 years, this is the new Apple campus under construction in Cupertino, California which is south of San Francisco.
Shot by Sexton Videography- the drone video focuses on the main building of the Apple campus, the large ring-looking building, sometimes called the mothership! Other buildings that make up the Apple campus include an underground auditorium, a 100 thousand square foot fitness center and parking garages with enough space for 20 thousand cars!
One design feature that continues to show up in the construction designs are solar panels. The roof of the main ring, and the parking buildings are covered with them.
It may look like there's a lot of work left to do but apple says it plans to move in, in early 2017. Landscaping and some other site work is expected to last a couple months after that. The total projected cost for the project is about five billion dollars.
