The spellbinding valley of Kiris is a small piece of paradise. Located at the foothill of Karakoram mountain range and right above the confluence of the Indus River and the Shyok River, this valley is at the distance of around 40 kilometers from Skardu city on the way to Khaplu and Hushe following the Shyok River Valley road. The village of Kiris is a historical human settlement that raised in Ghanche District during the time of subjugation of these regions by the forces of Alexander III of Macedon.
