Kyrgyzstan is a republic in Central Asia. It's one of the five former Soviet republics that became independent states following the dissolution of the USSR in the early 1990s. The country is home to some of the region's most beautiful natural scenery, including a number of sub-ranges of the Pamir Mountains, one of its largest lakes (Lake Issyk-Kul), and spectacular canyons. Once crossed by a portion of the fabled Silk Road, it's also home to numerous sites of cultural and historical interest. This drone video collection features aerial footage of some of the most well-known spots in this spectacular land, one of the world's least densely populated countries. Aerial photo: "Sundown at Lake Issyk-Kul" by AirVuz contributor and drone pilot lunatic_alx.
