Drone Videos of Florence

Top AirVuz contributor NI used a DJI Mini 4 Pro drone to create this stunning aerial tour of the great Italian city of Florence.  The video opens with a pair of shots facing north over the Arno River towards the Florence Cathedral, also known as the Duomo.  Starting at the :16 mark, there's a spectacular shot flying between the Giotto's Campanile and the cathedral's dome.  At the :55 mark, you'll see the area around the Palazzo Vecchio, and at 1:00 there's a great shot descending towards the Ponte Vecchio, the city's most famous bridge.  

The quiet hour of sunset gave top contributor Gianlo the perfect lighting for this epic drone video taken over Florence, Tuscany's magnificent capital and generally viewed as the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.  The video features excellent aerial views of some of the city's top attractions, including the Santa Maria del Fiore, Ponte Vecchio, and Polazzo Vecchio, and more sights and sounds of Firenze.  This production was a nominee for the 2017 AirVuz Drone Video Awards in the Cities category.

AirVuz contributor pioandreaperi brings us this stunning drone video of one of the world's most famous churches: the Florence Cathedral in Florence, Italy.  Construction of the great edifice began in 1296 and wasn't completed for 140 years.  The church is the centerpiece of the Piazza del Duomo complex, one of the top tourist attractions in the Tuscany region and indeed in all of Europe.  The video includes shots of the other famous buildings in the complex, including Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistery of St. John, and more.

The Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Florence, Italy is one of the world's most well-known bridges.  It spans 32 meters (105 ft.) over the Arno River, in the heart of the great Tuscan capital city.  It was built in the 14th century, using the remains of an earlier structure.  Lined with shops, it's one of the most popular attractions in Florence.  It's part of the Vasari Corridor, which connects the Palazzo Vecchio with the Palazzo Pitti.   Check out the famous bridge from above in this drone video by new contributor otnieldavid.  

Top AirVuz contributor Valsoiapg earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this stunning video of a hot air balloon floating over the Italian city of Florence.  The video was filmed with a DJI Avata, a first person view (FPV) drone, which has much more acrobatic flight characteristics.  At the :14 mark and again at :40, you'll see the Ponte Vecchio, a medieval stone bridge which spans the Arno River in the heart of the city; it's considered one of Italy's greatest cultural treasures.
