These drone chases are total madness, if you catch our drift! Interestingly enough, drift cars originated on the winding mountainous roads in Japan in the 1960s and '70s and found its place in both underground and popular culture ever since. What started as the consequence of aggressively pushing the limit while racing down those curving and bending mountain roads, 'drifting' then came to also serve as a chance to show off the best of both the car and the drivers.
Drift cars are deliberately oversteered, which causes them to "drift" sideways. As a driving technique it's only for experts (that whole *don't try this at home nonsense), but it makes for some thrilling rides and some even more impressive aerial views, as you'll see from this collection!
