Dallas is the third-largest city in Texas, after Houston and San Antonio. Dallas, its "sister" city Fort Worth, and their sprawling suburbs form a giant urban agglomeration known variously as Dallas-Fort Worth and the Metroplex, the largest metropolitan area in the Lone Star State and the seventh-largest in the USA as of 2020. One of the fastest-growing and dynamic of the North American cities, Dallas-Fort Worth is known for its gleaming skyline, world-class stadiums, and a thriving arts scene that includes many well-known museums. Here is a collection of the best drone videos from the Metroplex. Aerial photo: "Dallas Sunrise" by AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Sky Candy Studios.

In this video, Texas-based drone pilot and AirVuz contributor Cumulus Imaging gives us a nice aerial view of downtown Dallas, Texas. The Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is the largest in the state, and consistently the fastest growing major metropolitan area in the USA. The skyline of the city is extremely modern, dominated by several large skyscrapers in the core downtown area and the Reunion Tower (an observation tower distinguished by its massive globe-shaped top) on the outskirts.

As a first upload to AirVuz, Octavio Velazquez Lozano brings us this excellent aerial tour of Dallas, Texas. The video opens with a great shot of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, which spans the Trinity River, before heading over to the Reunion Tower - the ball-topped observation tower which is the most iconic site in the Big D. The video also features some excellent bird's eye views of the green-striped Bank of America Plaza (the city's tallest skyscraper), AT&T Stadium in Arlington (home of the Dallas Cowboys), and more.

Fort Worth is the "sister city" to Dallas, Texas; together, the two cities represent the core of the Dallas Metroplex, the largest metropolitan area in Texas and the fourth-largest in the United States (both as of 2018 estimates). Historically tied to the cattle trade, Fort Worth is actually considerably older than its flashier "twin" city to the east. In this drone video by Octavio Velazquez Lozano, you'll get a bird's eye view of the city, which was originally established as part of a chain of fortresses built shortly before the Civil War.

This forty-second feature is pretty scary and very impressive. Shot by AirVuz contributor and pilot rickyflo_, you’ll see men climb then stand on “the clock tower,” a building in Dallas, Texas. The Dallas clock tower is a 35 meter tall (about 115 feet) ornamental spire and local landmark in the city's downtown district. It’s part of the Mercantile National Bank Building, and has a clock on each side, hence the name. These daredevils climbed the tower and took a drone to prove their feat.

Here are some great views from two iconic spots of Dallas, Texas, compliments of contributor 70daysaroundtheworld. The first part of the video was filmed around the Cotton Bowl Stadium. Built in 1930 on what was the Texas State Fair Grounds, the venue was the home of the Cotton Bowl Classic until 2010. The second half of the video features nighttime drone footage of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Opened in 2012, it's a major element of the Trinity River Project to redevelop the area just west of downtown into an urban green space.
