Drone Videos of Antigua and Barbuda

Top AirVūz contributor and former Drone Video of the Week Winner semberadventure brings us this remarkable video from Antigua, the main island of the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda.  Consisting of two major islands of Antigua and Barbuda, this sovereign state is located in the West Indies between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.   The video features footage of the following locations: Fort Barrington, Shirley Heights, Fort Berkeley, English Harbour, Falmouth Harbour, Half Moon Bay, Deep Water Bay, and more.  

Top contributor semberadventure brings us this DVOW nominated video from Antigua, the main island of the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda.  The video was shot over English Harbor, a natural harbor which lies on the south side of the island.  The harbor's name derives from the longstanding presence here of the Royal Navy beginning in the 17th century, well-preserved relics of which you'll see in the video.   While the navy ships are long gone, English Harbor has continued its maritime traditions with its active recreational boating scene.  

The Lesser Antilles Islands form the eastern arc of the Caribbean Sea.  The chain is further divided between the Leeward Islands, which run from the Virgin Islands east to Guadeloupe, and the Windward Islands, which run north-south from Dominica to Trinidad.  In this fantastic video from contributor the3venture, you'll get a look at beautiful Antigua, one of the Windward islands and part of the  nation of Antigua & Barbuda.  The video was shot using a DJI Mavic Pro and ground camera footage.

AirVuz contributor and pilot Chester Tribley brings us this excellent drone video from the Caribbean island of Antigua.  The video was shot over Valley Church Beach, which lies on the southern end of a shallow bay that runs down the western side of the island.  Antigua is the main island of the nation of Antigua and Barbuda, which became an independent member of the British Commonwealth in 1981.  It's part of the Leeward Islands, a chain of islands which extends southeast from the Virgin Islands to Guadeloupe in the eastern Caribbean.  

Contributor Iain Joran created this beautiful drone video of Half Moon Bay on the island of Antigua.  The bay is on the eastern coast of the island, on the Atlantic Ocean.  While the vast majority of the country's roughly 80,000 residents live on the island of Antigua, they are concentrated in the western and northwestern shorelines.  By contrast, the eastern part of the island has no population centers of any size.  Watch the video and you'll see why this is considered one of the Caribbean's top beaches.

The main harbor Antigua is in the town of St. John's, in the northwestern corner of the island.  The town has a population of roughly 22,000 in 2018, and is home to nearly one in three residents of the country.  It's also served as the capital of the country (called Antigua and Barbuda) since it became independent from the UK in 1981.  In this video from Iain Jordan, you'll get a bird's eye view of the cruise ships MSC Armonia and MS Serenade Of The Seas docked in the harbor at sunset.
