Corsica is the fourth largest island in the Mediterranean, after Sicily, Sardinia, and Cyprus. It was part of the Genoese Empire for centuries, had a brief period of indendence, and has been part of France since shortly before the time of the French Revolution. It maintains a heavy Italian flavor, and is actually closer to the mainland of Italy (and to Sardinia) than to the French mainland. It's an extremely mountainous island, and its western coast consists of countless bays and inlets, which has made it a top destination for sailboats and powerboats large and small. Here are the best drone videos of magnificent Corse, home of Napoleon Bonaparte. Aerial photo: “Sanguinaires Islands, Corsica” by AirVuz contributor and drone pilot David_Dreyfus.
