Aerial Views of Spain's Balearic Islands

One of Spain's Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean, Mallorca, (sometimes also called Majorca), is known as a popular vacation destination for European travelers of all stripes. Its stunning cliffs, deep lagoons, historic sites, architecture, and sandy beaches also make it a perfect place to fly a small drone like the DJI Mavic Air.  Exhibit A is this marvelous mini-tour of the island by Paride Musci.  This video was selected as a Finalist for the AirVuz Drone Video of the Week contest in 2018.

Check out this excellent drone video from the Spanish island of Mallorca by Michael Haubold.  The first part of the video was filmed over and around Cala Agulla,  a well-known beach on a bay near the Mallorca's eastern tip.  At the 2:50 mark, you'll see the lighthouse of Far de Capdepera, which lies at the very easternmost point of Mallorca.  Othe featured locations include the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, in the northern part of the island; the mouth of the torrent de Pareis; and the Cap de Formentor, at the island's northern tip.  

Former DVOW Finalist Kris-Tof brings us this outstanding drone video from Mallorca, the largest of Spain's Balearic Islands archipelago in the western Mediterranean.  Just before the :30 mark, there's a nice reveal of the Cala Romantica cove beach near Porto Christo, on the island's eastern coast.  At around 1:15, you'll see the famous Es Pontàs rock arch, near Mallorca's southern tip.  Other highlights include the Formentor Lighthouse at the island's northern tip (1:33) and the town of Sant Elm on the island's western end (2:20).  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Kobebryt brings us this fantastic drone video from the fabled Spanish island of Mallorca.  Shot with a DJI Air 2S drone, the video opens with a shot of one of the island's many tiny bays, followed by a view of one of the winding roads that run into the mountains which cover much of the island's interior.  At the :19 mark, you'll see one of the watchtowers which dot the coast of the island.  Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean Sea.  

Contributor Pakobagur used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create this stunning aerial video of the northernmost spots of Spain's Balearic Islands.  It was shot on the northern coast of Menorca, the second largest (by area) of the four islands in the group, which also includes Majorca, Ibiza, and Fermentor.  With most of the island's settlements on its eastern and southern shores, the north coast of Menorca is one of the most pristine environments in the whole region, which is an official region of Spain.  

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Winner By_ewold brings us this fantastic drone video from Mallorca, the largest of Spain's Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean Sea.  The video opens with a shot of the Formentor Lighthouse at the northern tip of the island, one of the island's most iconic spots.  Other shots will take you along stretches of the island's coastline, over hilltop villages, hidden "cove" beaches, curving mountainous roads, and a group of bikers tackling the island's hilly interior.  

Check out this fantastic drone video from the Spanish island of Mallorca (Majorca) by one of the top content creators in the AirVuz community.  Former Drone Video of the Week Winner and Drone Video Award Finalist nevinxavier produced this piece from a three day stay near Cala Figuera, on the southeastern coast of the island.  This is a much quieter part of Mallorca, which is the most popular Mediterranean island for beach-goers.  With no swimming beaches and few hotels, it's a boaters' paradise, as you'll see in the video.

Mallorca is the largest of the Ballearic Islands, a Spanish archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea which also includes the nearby islands of Ibiza, Menorca, and Formentara.  It features gorgeous seaside villages surrounded by mountains in the west and many beaches and quiet towns on its eastern coast. Former Drone Video of the Week Winner BeemFlights brings us this fantastic drone video of some of the "hidden" beaches on the Spanish island of Menorca.  Menorca is the second-largest of the Balearic Islands, a small Spanish archipelago in the western Mediterranean Sea.  Lying a bit to the northeast of the larger island of Mallorca, Menorca covers a land area of about 270 square mi. or just under 700 square km.  With a population of a bit under 100k permanent residents, it's much less densely populated than its larger neighbor.  

Check out this drone video of a beach on the legendary Spanish island of Ibiza, compliments of AirVuz content creator and pilot BelceOne.  Cala Vadella is located on the western side of the island, the third-largest of the Balearic Islands chain in the western Mediterranean.  The beach is part of the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, which covers the southwestern portion of the island.  It is considered one of the dozen best beaches on Ibiza.  The video was shot with a DJI Air 2S drone.  

For a great two minute overview tour of the Spanish island of Menorca, it's tough to beat this production from WeiS Productions.  Produced with  combination of ground camera and drone footage, the video hits most of the highlights of this island, the second-largest and easternmost of the Balearic Islands group in the western Mediterranean Sea.  The video features footage of Cala Macareletta, Playa de Cavalleria, Faro de Cavalleria, Binibeca, Cala Galdana, Cala Roja, Cala Carella, Cala en Turqueta, and more.  

Check out these stunning aerial views of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, compliments of AirVuz contributor Electronik Motion.  The area filmed is called Punta Del Toro, which is a long peninsula which extends in a southwestern direction from near the western entrance to the Bay of Palma, in the southwestern part of the island.  The peninsula is part of the municipality of Calvià, one of the larger towns on the island.  Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, a Spanish archipelago of the western Mediterranean.  

Mallorca is the largest of Spain's Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean.  This vacation dreamland is known  for its crystal clear blue waters, sailing yachts, cliff jumping and five star beach resorts.  Top contributor eye-catchography took a drone to Mallorca for a week and created this marvelous aerial video of the island.   The video includes footage of some of the island's famous sea caves, its coastline cliffs, and the lighthouse on Cap Formentor, among other highlights.  

Take an aerial tour of the Spanish island of Menorca in this excellent 4k drone video by AirVuz contributor bailongas.  The island lies just to the northeast of its larger and somewhat better known island of Mallorca.  The video captures Menorca's beautiful coastline, which consists of spectacular cliffs interspersed with beaches.  Starting at about the 1:05 mark, there's an amazing shot of the Cape Cavalleria Lighthouse; one of seven on the island, it's located on Menorca's northern coast.  

Contributor Wildworld created this amazing drone/ground camera VLOG of the Pityusic Islands Ibiza and Formentera, at the westernmost end of Spain's Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea.  Known for their stunning beaches and epic parties, Ibiza and Formentera are just 100 km (about 60 mi) southwest of the larger island of Mallorca. Shot on the DJI Mavic Pro, with ground camera footage mixed in, this video will give you a bird's eye view of these tiny yet beautiful islands. 

Dronujemy used  DJI Phantom 3 drone to give us this spectacular bird's eye view of Mallorca, the largest of Spain's Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea.  Mallorca is one of the top tourist destinations in Spain and by some measures it's the top destination in the entire Mediterranean.  It's known for its stunning cliffs, secluded cove beaches, and clear blue waters. Watch this video to get a sense of the sights and sounds of this Mediterranean paradise, whose main airport processed an incredible 28 million passengers in 2017.  

Spain's island of Ibiza entered the lexicon in a big way due to a popular song circa 2016.  It is one of the Balearic islands, a Spanish controlled archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea.  While perhaps less well known than Majorca and Menorca, which lie to its east, Ibiza has achieved recognition for a world-class party and dance scene, considered the best in the Mediterranean islands.  It is also a stunningly beautiful place, as you'll see in this 4k drone video by Zolatechnical.  

Check out this amazing 4k drone video of the fabled Spanish island of Ibiza, compliments of contributor Airburner.  The third-largest of the Balearic Islands after Mallorca and Menorca, it lies off the Spanish Mediterranean coastline, due east of the port city of Valencia.  Discovered by the "hippie" crowd in the 1960's, Ibiza is widely considered to be one of the party and nightlife capitals of the Mediterranean.  Outside of the clubs, much of the island is actually part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Electronik Motion brings us this excellent drone video from the Spanish Mediterranean island of Mallorca.  The area filmed is two tiny islands called the Malgrats, just off the western coast of Mallorca, the largest and most populous of the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean.  The Malgrats are part of the municipality of Calvià.  Since 2004, the islets have been classified as a marine reserve and are protected under Spanish preservation laws. 

Contributor Johny Kondakjian Photography created this beautiful drone video of Mallorca, one of Spain's Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean.  Much of the video was shot around Palma (Palma de Mallorca), the capital of the region and its largest city, which is situated on a bay on the southwest part of the island.  At the :30 mark, you'll get an amazing look at Bellver Castle, which sits atop a hill overlooking Palma.  Built in the 14th century, it's one of the most famous castles in all of Spain.  

Contributor Toon Van Ishoven created this beautiful drone video of Mallorca, the largest and most well known of Spain's Balearic Islands. Set in the western Mediterranean, it's home to some of the region's most iconic sites. The video includes footage of Palma, Cap de Formentor, Sa Calobra, Torrent de Pareis, Cala Santanyi and Es Pontàs.  A number of these sites may look familiar to moviegoers; they "stood in" for spots in Hawaii and New Zealand in the 2012 film Cloud Atlas starring Tom Hanks.  

Explore the Spanish island of Mallorca in this excellent drone video by top AirVuz contributor dennis.fpv_.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone as well as a first person view (FPV) drone.  Starting at about the :09 mark, there's a spectacular shot of the island's famously rocky coastline.  At the :25 mark, you'll see the lighthouse of Capdepera, at the island's eastern extreme.  Another highlight is at about the :40 mark, where you'll tear down a mountain road replete with hairpin curves.  

Check out this stunning aerial view of Spain's famed Ibiza island, compliments of top contributor BeemFlights and his DJI Mavic Pro drone. Ibiza is one of the Balearic Islands, a Spanish archipelago at the western end of the Mediterranean Sea.  It's the second most populous of the four main islands, and the third largest in land area.  Less well known than Mallorca and Menorca, Ibiza has long had a strong following among artists and musicians.  It's also known for its legendary party scene.  

Check out this amazing drone video of Spain's Mallorca island, compliments of Palliedg. The video, which was shot with a DJI Phantom 4 Professional drone, was shot from different spots on the island, the largest of Spain's Balearic Islands region in the western Mediterranean Sea.  It includes some dramatic footage of what is probably the most well known spot on Mallorca: the lightghouse of Cap Fermentor, a peninsula which forms the northeastern tip of the island.  The lighthouse dates to 1863.

Contributor Sam Dehili created this stunning drone video of the tallest lighthouse in Spain's Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean.  Punta Moscarter is a point on the northern shore of Ibiza, the third largest of the four islands (second largest by population).  Located near the town of Punta Moscarter, the lighthouse was opened in 1978.  With a height of 52 meters (about 170 ft.), it's the tallest lighthouse in the region.  It's located in the sea lanes on the eastern approaches to Valencia, Spain's largest port.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist isbalearicdrone brings us this excellent drone video from Pregonda Beach (Cala Pregonda) on the Spanish island of Menorca.  The beach is located on a bay on the northern side of the island, the second-largest of the Balearic Islands (after Mallorca) in the western Mediterranean Sea.  It's a comparatively isolated section of the Menorca coastline, less well-known than spots like Galdana, Mitjana and Macarella Beaches.  The video was shot in October, 2022 with a DJI Air 2S drone.  

Watch this video from contributor Helmans_adventures and you'll start to understand why Mallorca is such a phenomenally popular Mediterranean destination.  On that point, the numbers speak for themselves.  With a population of under 900,000, the island's principal airport,  Palma de Mallorca Airport, Palma de Mallorca, processed an incredible 28 million travelers in 2017.  By that measure, it was the third busiest airport in Spain that year, topped only by the airports for (much larger) Madrid and Barcelona.

Pecky Necky Films created this beautiful drone video of two very pretty spots on Spain's island of Mallorca.  The Serra de Tramuntana is a chain of mountains which run across this Mediterranean island; their highest peak (Puig Major) is about 1.45k meters or a bit under 5k ft. It's a UNESCO World Heritage natural site.   The Llevante Peninsula Natural Park sits on the peninsula of the same name.  It forms the easternmost part of this island, one of the four which make up Spain's Balearic chain.  

AirVuz contributor echoeds_fpv brings us this fantastic drone video of a small rocky island off the coast of the larger Spanish island of Ibiza in the western Mediterranean.  Es Vedrà lies off the southwestern shore of Ibiza, the third-largest and westernmost of the islands which make up the Balearic archipelago.  Uninhabited, the rock stands 413 meters tall or around 1.35k ft.  Es Vedrà is thought to be the home of the sirens and sea nymphs who tried to lure Odysseus to his death in the epic poem the Odyssey by Homer.  

AirVuz contributor shevlino brings us this excellent drone video from the Spanish island of Menorca in the western Mediterranean Sea.  The video opens with a shot of the lighthouse of Cape Cavalleria, at Menorca's northern end.  Then it's on to Monte Toro, the island's highest point.  From there you'll head to the Cap d'Artrutx Lighthouse, in the island's southwestern corner.  Next stop is Ciutadella de Menorca, at the island's western end.  Other spots include Favàritx Lighthouse, Punta Natix Lighthouse, Cala Galdana Beach, and mmore.  

In this drone video by Maro, you'll get a captioned tour of the Spanish island of Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean.  Featured locations include the Sanctuary of Saint Salvador near Felanatix, in the south-central part of the island; the bay of Platja del Coll Baix (accessible only by boat); Mirador Es Colomer on Cap Formentor in the northeastern part of the island; the tiny islet of El Colomer just off Cap Fermentor; Cale Figuera, at the southern tip of the island; and more.

New AirVuz contributor Yaroslav used a DJI Mavic Air 2 to create this stunning aerial view of a beach spot on the fabled Spanish island of Mallorca.  The filming location is Sa Coma Beach, which lies just to the south of the somewhat better-known town of Cala Millor on the eastern side of the island.  Only about an hour's drive east of the capital city of Palma de Mallorca, it's a gorgeous spot for beach-going travelers, who have made this island in the western Mediterranean one of the top destinations in Southern Europe.  

Isaias Cruz created this nice aerial look at two spots on Spain's Menorca island, the easternmost of the group of four known as the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean.  Cala Macarella is at the head of a small bay on the southwest coast of the island, between the towns of Cala en Bosc and Cala Galdana.  Cala Macarelleta lies on the same bay, on its western shore.  With fewer than 10% of the population of Mallorca, Menorca offers many such secluded and beautiful areas.  

AJN Films used a DJI Mavic Pro 2 Zoom to create this beautiful aerial view of Menorca, an island in the western Mediterranean.  Menorca is the second-largest and the easternmost of the Balearic Islands, a Spanish archipelago of four main islands which lie off the country's eastern coastline, east of the region of Valencia on the mainland.  Less well known than Majorca (the largest of the islands) or perhaps Ibiza, Menorca has a permanent population of about 90k and receives many times that number of visitors every year.  

Check out this beautiful drone video from the island of Menorca, compliments of contributor isaias cruz.  It was shot on the bay of Cala Mitjana, which lies on the southern coast of this Spanish island in the western Mediterranean Sea.  The bay is known for its beach, which is surrounded by pine trees and offers a degree of seclusion which differs from some of the island's busier areas.  As you'll see in the video, the beach offers some fantastic sunset views, some of the best in the Mediterranean.  

The Spanish island of Mallorca is probably the top beach destination in the entire Mediterranean region.  While the majority of Mallorca's roughly 900k permanent inhabitants live in and around the capital city of Palma de Mallorca, which sits at the head of the Bay of Palma on the western side of the island, some of Mallorca's most beautiful beaches lay on its eastern side.  In this drone video by new contributor Yaroslav, you'll fly over the Cala Millor, a popular beach about an hour's drive due east of the capital.   

Here's a nice aerial view of a well known beach area on the Spanish island of Majorca, compliments of silvano1988.  The video was filmed in the municipality of Alcúdia, which lies on the northern part of the island.  Alcúdia sits on Alcúdia Bay, which covers a fairly large area on the western part of the island's northern shoreline.  The town dates to the 13th century and its 14 km (around 8 km) line of beaches are some of the best known in the Spain's Balearic Islands and indeed in the entire Mediterranean Sea.  

Check out this excellent drone video of a famous spot on the Spanish island of Mallorca, compliments of AirVuz contributor Santiago.  It's called Cap de Formentor, and it's a long peninsula which represents the northeastern tip of the island, the largest of the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean Sea.  As you'll see in the video, at the very end of the cape is the Formentor Lighthouse, which is still active.  Built in 1863, it stands an amazing 700 ft. (210 m) above the surrounding waters.

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist is_balearicdrone brings us this excellent drone video of a well-known historical landmark on the Spanish island of Ibiza. It's called the Torre d'en Rovira, and it's a watchtower on a peninsula on the western coast of the island, the third-largest of the Balearic Islands archipelago (after Mallorca and Menorca) in the western Mediterranean Sea.  The tower dates to the mid-18th century.  It's part of a system of watchtowers which protected the islands from seaborne invasion.

New AirVuz contributor joan M brings us this excellent drone video from the Spanish island of Menorca, one of the Balearic Islands chain in the western Mediterranean.  The video was shot in the area of Cala'n Bosch, a beach area in the southwestern corner of the island.  It's just a few mi/km south of Ciutadella de Menorca, Menorca's second-largest city.  The video includes some great footage of the Cap d'Artrutx Lighthouse, which lies at the tip of a promontory extending from the "mainland".  

The town of Ibiza is the largest settlement on its namesake island, the third-largest of Spain's Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean Sea.  In this drone video by thebigchimp, you'll get a nice aerial tour of the city, which lies on the island's southern coast and which has a full-time resident population of about 50k.  It's known for having one of the most active nightlife scenes in the entire Mediterranean region.  The video also features some shots from Formentara, a smaller island which lies a bit to the south of Ibiza.  

Top AirVuz contributor and pilot Karl Veca used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create this marvelous 60 second aerial tour of the fabled Spanish island of Mallorca.  The largest of the Balearic Islands archipelago in the western Mediterranean, Mallorca is one of Europe's top beach destinations.  With a permanent population of less than a million, Mallorca's airport handles nearly 20 million passengers per year. The focus of the video is the island's stunning coastline with its countless bays, coves, and hidden beaches.  

Check out this stunning scene from the Spanish island of Mallorca, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Santiago.  The video around Sa Calobra Beach, which lies on a small bay on the island's northwestern coast, about an hour's drive due north from the capital city of Palma.  You'll see nearby the end of the Torrent de Pareis, which (depending on the season) is either a flowing river or a dry riverbed.  The river drains the Serra de Tramuntana Mountains, but during the dry months it's a walkable and highly scenic trek.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor BelceOne brings us this excellent drone video of a beach on the storied Spanish island of Mallorca.  The video was filmed over Cala Escorxada, which lies roughly in the middle of the island's southern coastline.  It lies on one of the series of bays which line this part of the island, the largest of the Balearic Islands and one of the top destinations in the Mediterranean Sea region.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone.  

Here is a terrific drone video of a trio of beaches on the fabled Spanish island of Mallorca, compliments of AirVuz contributor J.M. Palmer.  The first, Emeralda Beach (Cala Esmeralda), Fererra Beach (Cala Ferarra), and Serena Beach (Cala Serena) are located on a series of bays and peninsulas which line the southeastern shore of the island, the largest of the Balearic Islands chain in the western Mediterranean Sea.  With a permanent population of about 900k residents, the island sees nearly 20 million tourist arrivals in a typical year.  

The S’Albufera des Grau is one of the natural treasures of Menorca, a Spanish island of the western Mediterranean Sea.  It's located on the eastern side of the island, just north of the capital city of Mahón.  Seen here in this excellent video by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist is_balearicdrone, the core of the area is a freshwater lagoon which is the centerpiece of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.  Particularly well known for its wetland birds, it's home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor mikevandyke brings us this excellent drone video from the famed Spanish island of Mallorca.  The video was filmed over the beach area known as Cala Millor, one of the most popular spots on the eastern side of the island.   It's located about an hour's drive due east of Palma de Mallorca, the island's largest city and the capital of the Balearic Islands region which also includes the islands of Menorca and Ibiza.  Cala Millor's beach zone extends for about a mile (around 1.8 km).  

Top contributor and former Drone Video of the Week winner PureCreations.pl created this excellent drone video of the Spanish island of Mallorca.  It's the largest of the Balearic Islands, which lie off the Spanish mainland in the western Mediterranean Sea.  The video opens with shots of some of the island's hotel resorts, followed by a shot of the famous Lighthouse of Cap de Formentor at the island's northern tip.  Other sights featured in the video include some of the island's famous beaches, the capital city of Palma, and more.  

Top AirVuz contributor Santiago brings us this excellent drone video of a port town on the fabled Spanish island of Mallorca in the western Mediterranean Sea.  It's called Port de Sóller, and it's located on a natural bay on the long northwestern coast of the island.  The video includes some great shots of the two lighthouses which sit on either side of the bay.  The port is connected by a tramway to the town of Sóller, a few mi./km inland, to the south of the port.  It's less than an hour's drive from the island's capital city, Palma.

Drone Video of the Week Finalist is_balearicdrone brings us this aerial view of a remote spot on the fabled Spanish Mediterranean island of Menorca.  Sa Torreta is located on the eastern side of Menorca, the second-largest of the Balearic chain after Mallorca.  The area is characterized by a series of capes and small bays.  The video features footage of the sleepy fishing village of Es Grau as well as one of the watchtowers which line the island and which were designed to protect it from pirate raids.  

New AirVuz contributor and pilot J.M. Palmer brings us this excellent drone video from the Spanish island of Mallorca.  The video was filmed in and around the town of Alcanada, which lies on the western side of Alcudia Bay, on the northeastern side of the island.  The video features some excellent footage of the tiny island off the "mainland", which is topped with a lighthouse that dates to the middle of the 19th century.  Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, a chain of four main islands in the western Mediterranean Sea.  

Take in these excellent aerial views of the Spanish island of Ibiza, compliments of AirVuz contributor boromdole.  The video was filmed over the western side of the island, the westernmost and third-most populated of the three main islands of the Balearic chain in the western Mediterranean Sea.  Settled during the Antiquity and fought over for centuries, in modern times Ibiza has emerged as one of the most popular nightlife spots in the entire Mediterranean region.  It's also a UNESCO World Heritage site.  

Check out this drone video of a beautiful spot on the coast of the Spanish island of Mallorca, compliments of contributor J.M. Palmer.  The video was filmed over and around the Torre des Verger, which is a watchtower in the  municipality of Banyalbufar on Mallorca's long northwestern coastline.  The tower, which dates to the late 16th century, is one of a series of towers which were constructed around Mallorca (as well as the other Balearic Islands) largely to combat the piracy which was once rampant in the western Mediterranean.  

Here is an excellent drone video if a trio of beaches on the Spanish island of Mallorca, compliments of J.M. Palmer.  Estreta Beach (Cala Estreta), Mitjana Beach (Cala Mitjana) and Torta Beach (Cala Torta) are situated on a successive series of bays on the peninsula which forms the eastern part of Alcudia Bay, on the northeastern part of the island.  Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, an archipelago in the western Mediterranean Sea.  It's one of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranea.   

AirVuz contributor and drone pilot J.M. Palmer brings us this excellent drone video from a well-known beach on the Spanish island of Mallorca.  Domingos Beach (Cala Domingos) is located on one of the series of bays which line the southeastern coast of the island, the largest of the Balearic Islands archipelago and one of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean Sea.  Domingos Beaches actually consists of two beaches, a larger one and a smaller one (Gran and Petita), both of which are featured in the video. 

Check out this excellent drone video from the Spanish island of Mallorca, compliments of contributor and pilot Yaroslav.  The video was filmed over the resort area of Sa Coma, which lies on the island's eastern side, roughly 40 mi. (63 km) due east of the capital city of Palma.  It's situated just to the north of the town of S'illot, and south of Cala Millor, the largest town on Mallorca's eastern coast.  Mallorca, the largest and most populous of Spain's Balearic Island chain, is one of the top destinations in the Mediterranean.    

AirVuz contributor J.M. Palmer brings us this stunning drone video of the Formentor Lighthouse, which lies on the Spanish island of Mallorca in the western Mediterranean Sea.  Completed in 1863, it's located at the tip of Cap de Formentor, a long peninsula which extends north from the main body of the island.  The still-active lighthouse stands 72 ft. tall (22 m), but due to its elevation it has a focal height of 690 ft. (210 m), the tallest in the Balearic chain which also includes Menorca, Ibiza, and a number of smaller islands.  

The Spanish island of Mallorca is one of the top destinations in the Mediterranean.  The stunning coastline which draws tourists in their millions is also beginning to attract talented first person view (FPV) drone pilots.  In this video, top AirVuz contributor Ton18Drone gives us a tour of the Mallorca coastline around its capital city of Palma, which lies on a bay in the southwestern part of the island.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2024.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Cinematic_Ibiza brings us this stunning drone video from the Spanish island of Ibiza.  Shot with a GoPro mounted to a first person view (FPV) drone as well as a DJI Air 3, the video was filmed on a day when the island was partially covered with clouds.  Ibiza is the third-largest (second-largest by population) of the Balearic Islands, which also include Mallorca and Menorca and are located off the Spanish coast in the Western Mediteranean Sea.  

Ibiza is the third-largest of the four main Balearic Islands, a territory of Spain which lies in the western Mediterranean Sea.  In this excellent drone video by contributor noahb_photography, you'll get an aerial view of the northern coast of Ibiza.  The northern coast of Ibiza is much less densely populated than its southern and eastern coasts, which are home to the vast majority of its roughly 150k permanent residents.  The video includes footage of the Punta Moscarter Lighthouse, which is located near the town of Portinatx.

AirVuz contributor J.M. Palmer brings us this excellent drone video from a pair of beaches on the Spanish island of Mallorca.  The more well-known of the two is Cala Agulla.  It's located near the tip of a wide arrow-shaped landform that forms the easternmost extent of the island.  The second beach shown is called Cala Moltó.  This beach is located a bit to the north of Cala Agulla, on a small bay.  The beaches lie on the opposite side of the island from the capital city of Palma de Mallorca.   

Dronegraphic created this marvelous drone video of Cap Fermentor, a peninsula in the northeastern corner of Spain's Mallorca island in the Mediterranean.  The peninsula extends in a northeastern direction from the mainland near the port of Pollenca.  At its tip is a lighthouse, built in 1863, which is one of the most iconic sights in the Mediterranean Sea.  Mallorca is the largest of the four islands which make up the Balearic islands, along with Menorca, Ibiza, and Fermentora.  

The Spanish island of Mallorca in the western Mediterranean is known in part for the quaint harbor towns dotted around its coast.  One of the most picturesque is Port de Sóller, which is located on the island's northern coast, about a 45 minute drive north of the main city of Palma.  Seen in this drone video by AirVuz contributor J.M. Palmer, the town lies on a small half-moon-shaped bay.  The port town is linked by tram to the somewhat larger town of Sóller, which lies just a few mi/km inland.  

AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Yaroslav brings us this excellent aerial video from an iconic spot in Spain's Balearic Islands, an archipelago of the western Mediterannean Sea.  The area filmed is two small uninhabited islands known as the Malgrats.  They are situated just off the western coast of Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands.  The Malgrats are part of the municipality of Calvià, which covers the southeastern half of the peninsula that extends off of Mallorca's southwestern coastline.
