Aerial Views of Cleveland

Cleveland, Ohio is one of the largest cities in the USA's Midwest.  It is situated on the southern shore of Lake Erie, one of the Great Lakes.  Cleveland was once known as the Buckle of the Rustbelt for its leading role in America's key manufacturing sectors.  While it is still a leading industrial center, the city has seen its waterfront transformed in recent years with new stadiums and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  In this video, contributor Droneloop gives us a brief but epic aerial tour of this storied city.

Top contributor Jones Drones Cleveland brings us this holiday cheer in the form of a Christmastime video of the great landmark of Cleveland, Ohio: Terminal Tower.  The 52 story skyscraper stands 771 ft. (235 m) above the city's main public square.  When it was completed in 1930, it was the second-tallest building in the world, and it remained the tallest building in North America outside of New York City until 1964.  As of 2022, it's still the second-tallest building in Cleveland, and indeed in the state of Ohio.  

As part of a colloboration with Major League Baseball, contributor Blaze was given permission to fly out of Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio, a few weeks before the 2019 All Star Game was held here.  The stadium opened as Jacobs Field in 1994, and is the home of the Cleveland Indians.  Its regular seating capacity is a bit under 35k, and it was chosen as the #1 MLB ballpark by fans in a well-respected 2008 survey by Sports Illustrated.  The field sits just to the southeast of downtown Cleveland.  

If you want to see what world-class medical facilities can mean for a large industrial city, check out this drone video of the main campus of the Cleveland Clinic by gopherdrone.  The clinic, which combines patient care with medical teaching facilities, sits on a 170 acre campus just east of downtown.  Founded in 1921, it's consistently rated one of the USA's top 2-3 hospitals.  The clinic employs 52,000 people across its system, which also includes ten regional hospitals and 19 family health centers.

Check out this epic first person view (FPV) drone video dive of one of the USA's most famous skyscrapers, compliments of HellingerFPV.  Terminal Tower reaches a height of 771 ft. (235 m) over Public Square in Cleveland, Ohio.  Conceived during the Roaring Twenties by the Van Sweringen brothers, two of the era's most famous stock market operators, the tower opened in the early years of the Great Depression.  At the time, it was the world's second-tallest building.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December, 2021.
