6th Annual New York City Drone Film Festival - Landscapes

Owing to the world’s endless supply of breathtaking panoramas, the Landscape category is arguably the easiest to load with phenomenal drone footage, as well as the hardest to judge.  Think about it...how does one compare the wide-open, stark-yet-stunning expanses of Iceland, with the inviting, and playful images of a tropical beach?  Or a majestic mountain range (often replete with a fresh coat of snow) with the warm, unending, golden sand dunes folded into a desert?  It’s a challenge taken on by this year’s nominees in the Landscape category, and we’re here for it.  The drone footage from these videos enable us all to revel in the beauty of our planet and experience views rarely seen before drones arrived on the scene.
