2023 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 40

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner Lokmansin put together this outstanding video of "golden hour" (sunrise and sunset) drone footage from Turkey.  The video was primarily filmed in Istanbul, with shots of other locations around the country sprinkled into the mix.  Starting at the :07 mark, you'll see the Grand Bazaar, one of the largest covered marketplaces in the world.  Further on in the video, you'll see a Roman era aqueduct, the Golden Horn inlet, ship traffic on the Strait of Bosphorus, and more.   

Brand-new contributor Walter Aerial used a DJI Inspire 3 drone to create this marvelous aerial tour of Taipei, capital of the island nation of Taiwan.  The video opens with a series of nighttime shots of the city, which lies at the northern tip of the island.  At the 1:00 mark, there's a magnificent shot of the Taipei 101 tower, the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2009 and still Taiwan's tallest.  Other highlights include a fireworks display along the Tamsui River at the 2:45 mark, the city's port (3:07), and more.  

Namibia has emerged as one of the top destinations in southwestern Africa, and it's largely due to the type of scenery you'll see in this fantastic drone travel video by AirVuz contributor Smirnov FPV.  The video opens with shots of the Namib Desert, which runs roughly parallel to Namibia's western coastline.  At the :30 mark, you'll see the vast seal colony of Cape Cross, followed by a shipwreck, both of which lie along the Skeleton Coast.  From there, you'll head to the interior to see some stunning rock formations.  

Enjoy these spectacular aerial views of the Tuscany region of Italy from a multiple Drone Video of the Week winner and 2023 DVOY nominee Dronographer.  Starting at about the :40 mark, you'll see the famous medieval town of San Gimignano, which lies in the province of Siena in Tuscany.  At 1:35, you'll head to Pitigliano in the central province of Grosseto, a town known as Little Jerusalem due to its resemblance to the ancient city.  The video also features some marvelous views of Tuscany's famous rolling hills, vineyards, and other spots.  

Prepare to be amazed by this stunning drone video of Iceland's Highlands by top AirVuz contributor haussmannvisuals.  He used a DJI Mavic Pro 2 as well as a first person view (FPV) drone to the stunning beauty of the region, which covers much of the interior of the island but which is largely inaccessible other than with off-road vehicles.  The two main locations featured in the video are Landmannalaugar, which is part of the Fjallabak Nature Reserve in south-central Iceland, and the Mælifell volcano.
