2022 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 26

Multiple DVOW Winner scientik brings us this magnificent drone video from the Faroe Islands, a Danish archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.  The vieo was shot with the new DJI Mini 3 Pro drone in June of 2022.  It captures the filmmaker and a friend exploring the islands, which consist of 18 major islands and nearly 800 smaller islands, most of which are uninhabited.  Located about halfway between the mainland of Norway and Iceland, the Faroe Islands are an increasingly popular destination for adventure-oriented travelers.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot NonexistentJay brings us this stunning drone travel video from the wide-open expanses of Alaska.  The video was created using footage from a gimbal-stabilized drone as well as from an FPV quad, complemented with ground camera footage.  You'll ride along with him on an epic journey across the USA's 49th state, with magnificent views of glaciers, mountains, and forests.  This video was a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest in July of 2022.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Migo-Studios used a DJI Air 2S drone to create this beautiful video from Portugal.  The video incudes footage from the coastlines of the Sintra province; the Costa Vicentina in the region of Alentejo south of Lisbon; Arrábida Natural Park and Praia Ribeiro do Cavalo beach on the Setúbal Peninsula (also near Lisbon); the southern region of Algave; and the Vasco da Gama Bridge, which spans the Tagus River in Lisbon and is (as of 2022) the second-longest bridge in Europe.

The Southwestern USA is home to some of the world's most spectacular natural scenery.  Due to a variety of geological and meteorological factors, this region offers an incredible variety of landscapes.  What makes many of these features so distinctive is the coloring, some of which can't be found anywhere else on earth.  Witness this spectacular drone video by contributor OCDroneProductions.  Shot with a DJI Mavic Pro 3, the video does an outstanding job of bringing out some of the incredible visual scenery of this corner of the USA.  

Award-winning panvelvet brings us this fantastic drone video from the top of one of the world's highest skyscrapers.  Located in the city of Shenzen in the southern state of Guangdong, 115 story Ping An Center stands 555 meters at the roof (just over 1.8k ft.).  At the time of its completion in 2017, it was China's second-tallest building and the fourth-tallest in the world.  The video features jaw-dropping shots of some very brave individuals standing at the tower's apex.  Shenzen is China's fourth-largest city as of 2022.
