2022 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 19

Every week, our team reviews every video uploaded to the site to pick the Top 5 videos. Then, we name our favorite as our Drone Video of the Week and send that drone pilot $ 250. (The winning video is also then a contender for Drone Video of the Month.) Prepare to be blown away by this magnificent first person view (FPV) drone reel by new contributor FlyingCarpetStudio.  True to its title, the video features a wide variety of shots, expertly edited and stitched together.  Shot primarily in Poland, you'll fly through an underground tunnel, over an electronic music show, and behind some race cars.  Starting at about the :57 mark, you'll fly over and through some landmarks of the Lower Silesia province, including in the provincial capital city of Wroclaw, followed by some insane gap shots. 

For a second upload to AirVuz, nunovalente brings us this fantastic drone video from the heart of Portugal.  The video was filmed along the Atlantic coastline of the province of Sintra, just a bit to the northwest of Lisbon.  At around the 1:20 mark, there's a nice shot of the Ursa Beach (Praia da Ursa) and its famous needle-shaped rock formation.  From there you'll head to the famous red and white lighthouse of the Cabo da Roca, just south of Ursa, which sits at the very westernmost point of Portugal and indeed of mainland Europe.  

Take in these magnificent drone views of Alaska, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Pierre.  Using a DJI Mini 2 drone, he brings us some astounding aerial footage from the USA's 49th state.  The video was filmed in May of 2022, just as the state's landscape was beginning to turn to Spring.  You'll soar over glacier fields, endless forests, and rivers and streams.  Some of the most dramatic footage is from the mountains; Alaska is home to some of the tallest peaks in North America.  

Check out this magnificent drone video of the city of Lviv, Ukraine by AirVuz contributor Tymoshenko Pavel.  The video opens with a shot of the Lviv Town Hall, one of the most recognizable landmarks in the western Ukraine's largest city.  Next stop is the Dominican Church, also located in the city's Old Town.  Starting at about the 1:11 mark, you'll see the Potocki Palace, which was built in the 1880's.  Other featured locations include the 18th century St. George's Cathedral (1:45), the Bernardine Church and Monastery (2:20), and more.  

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Winner AndriThor brings us this fantastic drone video from Iceland.  The video opens with shots of the Gulfoss waterfall, one of the most powerful in Europe.  Other shots will take you over the island's famous black sand beaches, gaping canyons, endless highlands, fjords, volcanic lava fields, and more.  At about the 1:20 mark, there's a magnificent shot of Kirkjufell, the perfectly formed mountain on the western peninsula of Snæfellsnes, which appeared on the hit HBO series Game of Thrones.
