2021 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 34

Experience the sights and sounds of Italy in this fantastic drone video by AirVuz contributor and pilot Galliano.  The video opens with some epic footage of Marmore Falls (Cascata delle Marmore) in Umbria, a man-made waterfall created during the period of the Roman Republic.  From there you'll head to the Tuscan capital of Florence, where you'll see some great shots of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and more.  Other highlights include the Tuscan hills, Lake Trasimeno in the province of Perugia, and more.  This video was a DVOY finalist in 2021. 

The Dolomites aren't the tallest mountains in Europe, but they are definitely amongst the most majestic.  Spread across several provinces of northeastern Italy, the Dolomites are part of the Northern Limestone Alps.  In this drone video by Dream to Fly, you'll get an aerial tour of these magnificent mountains, whose peaks range up to almost 11k ft. above sea level (around 3.4k m).  At about the 2:00 mark, there's an amazing shot of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo (Tre Cime di Lavaredo or Drei Zinnen).  

"Cinewhoop" style first person view (FPV) drones - which are lightweight and have ducted propellers - have opened up new vistas for filming in situations which involve proximity to people.  A great example is music concerts, which would ordinarily be difficult to safely film close-up.  Witness this fantastic FPV piece by top AirVuz contributor dronujemy_com.  He used one of these ducted quads to film the Heartbeat Festival in Trzcianka, Poland.  Watch how he's able to effortless cruise over the heads of the crowd and right onto the stage!

Top contributor oculusfilms has captured some of the world's most memorable aerial footage of Pakistan.  In this incredible eight minute piece, he brings us some of the highlights of his work flying over this fascinating and stunningly beautiful country.  The video features scenes of stunning natural beauty such as waterfalls and mountains, as well as some of Pakistan's cities.  Some of the highlights include the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, the Pakistan Monument in the Shakarparian Hills, the Sikh temple Gurdwara Kartarpur, and more. 

Check out this drone video of a beach on the legendary Spanish island of Ibiza, compliments of AirVuz content creator and pilot BelceOne.  Cala Vadella is located on the western side of the island, the third-largest of the Balearic Islands chain in the western Mediterranean.  The beach is part of the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, which covers the southwestern portion of the island.  It is considered one of the dozen best beaches on Ibiza.  The video was shot with a DJI Air 2S drone.
