2021 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 25

Explore the world with this fantastic international travel reel by top AirVuz content creator Merr Watson.  Watson, who has nearly 100k followers on Instagram as of mid-2021, will take you over some of the world's most beautiful spots, often featuring shots of herself.  Some of the featured locations include the storied beaches of Coron in the Philippines; the waterfalls, volcanoes, and rice terraces of Indonesia; the Seychelles islands in the Indian Ocean; the Lancelin Sand Dunes of Western Australia; Africa's Victoria Falls; and more.  This video was a DVOY finalist in 2021. 

Talented contributor timroosjen brings us this fantastic drone video record of a two week trip through the Alps Mountains in Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland.  The video includes footage from the Berchtesgaden in Germany's Bavarian Alps, the town of Hallstatt in the Salzkammergut region of Austria, the Schladming Tauern sub-range of the Austrian Alps, the Cadini Di Misurina massif and Mt. Seceda in the Italian Dolomites, the Ischgl ski area on the Austro-Swiss border, and the village of Appenzell in northeastern Switzerland.  

Take a tour of beautiful Croatia in this stunning travel video by AirVuz contributor and pilot inspirealfilms.  Produced with a combination of drone and ground camera footage, the video includes the following locations: the walled medieval city of Dubrovnik; Krka National Park; the port town of Omis; Kozjak, a mountain overlooking the Dalmatian Coast port town of Kaštela; the city of Split, including the hill Marjan, which overlooks the town; Plitvice National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site; and more.  

Building upon the success and visibility he created with his landmark first person view (FPV) tour of the Bryant Lake Bowl in Minneapolis, Minnesota, top contributor Jay Christensen headed to the northern part of the North Star State to make this epic FPV tour of a famous landmark: the Glensheet Mansion on the North Shore of Lake Superior in Duluth.  Dating to the early 1900's, the mansion was the site of the murder of wealthy heiress Elisabeth Congdon in 1977 for which her son-in-law was subsequently convicted in a celebrated trial.   

Top contributor FrankMoiss manages to pack an incredible variety of shots into this one minute drone reel.  The video, which includes some impressive FPV footage mixed in with the stabilized shots, features a wide range of action, travel, and "people" shots.  Some of the highlights include some great sports car, biking, snowboarding, and wakeboarding footage; great shots from the coast of England's Cornwall region, the Alps,  the tropical island of Bali, the French city of Lyon, and more.
