2020 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 36

Drone Video of the Week Finalist Uglefisk brings us this fantastic 4k drone video from Norway, one of the world's most beautiful countries.  The footage was captured in Nordland County, the southernmost of the two counties (as of January, 2020) of the official Northern region of the country.  The video features footage from the area known as Helgaland (the portion of Nordland County below the Arctic Circle); the Lofoten Islands archipelago; and the Vesterålen, another archipelago which lies just north of the Lofotens.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Pierre.bk brings us this DVOW nominated film of New Zealand.  Shot with a DJI Mavic Pro drone mounted with PolarPro filters, the video features footage from numerous spots across the South Island, the larger but less populous of the country's two main islands.  Featured locations include Milford Sound, Mt. Cook (New Zealand's highest mountain), Nugget Point on the Otago (southeastern) coast, and Abel Tasman National Park at the island's northern end.  

With multiple Drone Video of the Week/Month wins to his name, Muhamad AbuShakra is one of the top content creators in the AirVuz community.  That alone should make this video he created from Iceland worth a watch.  Spending a week on this North Atlantic island nation during August, 2020, with tourists few and far between due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it's a masterpiece.  Among the many highlights are stunningly cinematic shots of the Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfall, the famous Fjadrargljufur Canyon, volcanic fields, and more. 

Prepare to be blown away by this stunning wintertime drone video of Russia's Lake Baikal, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and pilot Makhorov.  The great lake of southern Siberia is one of the earth's great ecological treasures: amongst freshwater lakes, it's the world's largest by water volume, its deepest, its oldest, and by some measures its clearest.   When you see these glorious wintertime views of Baikal from this award-winning content creator, you may also agree that it's the most beautiful.  

Perhaps as much as any country, Greece is known for its beaches.  In this excellent compilation drone video by AirVuz contributor fakefaketv, you'll get an aerial tour of some of Greece's most famous beaches.  Featured beaches include: Egremni on the island of Lefkada, Voidokilia in the Peloponnese, Kombonada (Kythira), Balos (Crete), Kolymbithra (Tinos), Seychelles and Nas (Ikaria), Navagio (Zakynthos), Tis Grias To Pidima (Andros), Porto Katsiki (Lefkada), Valtaki (Peloponnese), and Elafonisi (Crete). This video was a DVOW nominee in September 2020.
