Top AirVuz contributors DigitalTravelCouple won the DVOW award in September, 2024 with this fantastic travel video from Norway.  Filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3 over the course of a six week camper trip, the video offers spectacular aerial views from across this Scandinavian wonder land.  At the :22 mark, you'll see the sun peeking behind some coastal mountains, and at :56 there's a marvelous top-down shot of a giant waterfall.  Further on, you'll see some of Norway's famous fjords and glaciers, as well as some great canoeing shots.

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Finalist Uglefisk brings us this stunning drone video from Norway.  The video was filmed over the mountains which dot much of this Scandinavian country, and in all four seasons of the year.  At about the 1:01 mark, there's an incredible shot looking over at a paraglider jumping off of a peak.  Further on in the video, you'll soar over a fjord surrounded by snow-capped mountains.  The video was filmed through the length of the country, which includes several different mountain ranges.

Norway is one of the most spectacular places in the world to capture by drone, with its far northern location, wide open spaces, and (relatively) friendly drone rules. Multiple Drone Video of the Week Winner haussmannvisuals has been in the forefront of aerial videographers who have learned to pilot first person view (FPV) drones.  In this amazing video, he puts his considerable piloting and content creation skills to work on a trip to the northern part of Norway.  The video was filmed over the Lofoten Islands, an archipelago just above the Arctic Circle, and the island of Senja, which lies well to the north.  The piece combines FPV footage with shots from a DJI Mavic Pro 2.  

Take a trip through the magical region of Western Norway with top AirVūz contributor and drone pilot aqua william.  The video includes footage of the following locations in the region: Romsdalen, a 60 km long (roughly 36 mi.) valley in Møre og Romsdal and Innlandet Counties; the town of Åndalsnes along the Isfjorden; and the Ålesund Region in Møre og Romsdal County, which is home to some of Scandinavia's most iconic scenery.  This video earned a Drone Video of the Week nomination in October of  2020. 

If you're a fan of "The Polar Express," the Caldecott Medal winning book turned movie starring Tom Hanks, then you're going to love this piece by top contributor haussmannvisuals. In the middle of winter the sun never fully rises around the Arctic Circle, but that doesn't mean only darkness. The aerial shots of the peaking sun's hues, twilight's glow and evening's sparkle over the famous Lofoten Islands of Northern Norway are simply stunning. This video was nominated for Drone Video of the Week.

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor and pilot svilen12 brings us this magnificent drone video from Norway.  This DVOW nominated video was shot on the island of Moskenesøya, the southernmost of the Lofoten Islands archipelago in Nordland, one of the counties of the northern part of Norway.  Specific locations featured in the video include Kvalvika Beach on the northwestern part of the island, the village of Hamnøy on the eastern side of Moskenesøya, and the area around Reinebringen just to the south of Hamnøy.  

AirVuz contributor and pilot David.Haring shows how it's done with this fantastic dronie shot from an iconic spot in northern Norway.  The scene is the now-famous football field in Henningsvaer, a tiny village built on several small islands in the country's Lofoten Islands.  This once-obscure field was used by a major European football organization for a popular promotional video; it's since become one of the most well-recognized spots in Scandinavia.  This video earned a nomination in the Dronie category at the NYCDFF.

Drone Video Award finalist borsch created this beautiful video record of an epic 7k km (around 4k mi.) trip through Norway.  The video uses a combination of drone footage (DJI Mavic Pro 1 & 2) and ground footage.  In just 60 seconds, you will get a whirlwind tour of the country, home to some of the world's most beautiful scenery.  Highlights include shots of the Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen), the famous Henningsvær football field in the Lofoten Islands, and more. This was a DVOW nominee in August, 2019.

Shot on the DJI Mavic Air and DJI Mavic 2 Pro with Polar Pro ND-filter, contributor and drone pilot vegardho brings us this spectacular aerial video from Norway.  The video was shot around the munucipality of Sunndalsøra.  The town sits at the head of Sunndalsfjord, a fjord which is located in Møre og Romsdal County.   A Drone Video of the Week nominee in March of 2019, the 4K quality video brings us up over the snow-capped mountains, down to the rushing rivers, and out towards the sea at sunset. 

From the fjords to the waterfalls, and then onto winsome waterside villages, every single frame of this beautiful production feels like a postcard.  OnFocus created an epic compilation of shots from across Western Norway, home of some of the world's most spectacular scenery.  The region covers the western part of the country from its southern tip up through its "thickest" part before it narrows and transitions to the Central Norway region.  The video was shot with a DJI Phantom 4 Professional drone.  

Even in inclement weather, Norway is still one of the world's most beautiful countries.  That's the takeaway from this piece by top AirVuz contributor and pilot DroneCult.  The video was shot over the course of a week traveling through the course of this large Scandinavian country, DJI Mavic Pro 2 in hand.  Despite the poor weather, the video does a fantastic job of capturing the country's stunning natural scenery, including its magical fjords, gushing waterfalls, majestic mountains, and iconic coastal cliffs.

Top contributor Muhamad AbuShakra has won multiple Drone Video of the Week awards for his videos of the Alps in Central Europe.  To make this magnificent piece, he headed to Western Norway for a one week backpacking trip.  Starting at the city of Stavanger, he travleled and filmed his adventure, resulting in some amazing aerial footage of such sights as the Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), the Kjeragbolten suspended boulder at nearby Kjerag Mountain, and of course some of the world's most famous fjords.  

Drone Video of the Week Finalist Uglefisk brings us this fantastic 4k drone video from Norway, one of the world's most beautiful countries.  The footage was captured in Nordland County, the southernmost of the two counties (as of January, 2020) of the official Northern region of the country.  The video features footage from the area known as Helgaland (the portion of Nordland County below the Arctic Circle); the Lofoten Islands archipelago; and the Vesterålen, another archipelago which lies just north of the Lofotens.  

In this video, top AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Uglefisk gives us an aerial tour of mainland Northern Norway as well as the Lofoten Islands which lie just to the west.  It includes some great views of  of Lofoten Henningsvaer Stadium - known as one of the coolest stadiums in the world - and the quaint fishing town that surrounds it. These shots, blended with hikers braving the ominous mountains, magnificent glaciers, and the aqua ocean waters make this Drone Video of the Week Nominee well worth the watch. 

Multi-Drone Video of the Week winner Diamond Sky hits another "bullseye" with this stunning piece from northern Norway.  The first part of the video was shot in Rago National Park, which lies on the Swedish border in Nordland County.  The majority of the footage is from Senja, an island in the new Troms og Finnmark County, north of the Lofoten Islands.   Norway's largest island, Senja is sometimes called "Norway in Miniature" because its scenery is as diverse as that of the country as a whole.  

Check out these stunning drone views from Northern Norway, compliments of Uglefisk.  The first stop is Kvaløya, which is Norway's fifth-largest island.  It lies in Tromsø County, the next-to-northernmost of the Norwegian counties.  The next stop is Kvænangen, a municipality on the mainland of Tromsø County.   The final area featured is Helgelandskysten in Nordland, the southernmost of the three Northern Region counties.  This video was chosen as a Drone Video of the Week finalist in November, 2019. 

Contributor Uglefisk created this amazing video of Store Lakselvtinden, one of the highest peaks in the Lyngen Alps of northern Norway.  Contrary to what the name suggests, these mountains are not related to the Alps Mountain system; rather they are part of the Scandinavian Mountains system.  They are located in Troms County, which is north of the Arctic Circle.  Though not as tall as the "real" Alps, the stunningly beautiful Lyngen Alps present some of the most technically demanding climbing conditions in Europe.  

Take an aerial tour of the northern reaches of Norway in this spectacular piece by contributor videobros, who was a winner at the second Annual Drone Video Awards. The video features footage from the following locations: (1) the Lofoten Islands archipelago in Nordland County; (2) Senja, an island further north, in Troms County; (3) the island of Andøya, which lies to the northwest of the Lofotens and is the northernmost part of Nordland County. This video was a DVOW finalist in September, 2019.   

Top contributor davidaguilar won the People's Choice category at the second Annual DVA's with his "Magic Iceland" masterpiece.  In this video, he brings us some stunning views from even further north - the islands off the northern coast of Norway specifically the Lofoten Islands and the island of Senja, further north in Troms County.  Picked as a DVOW Finalist in October, 2019, the video combines aerial footage from a DJI Mavic Air with DJI Mavic Air with ground footage from a Nikon D5300 camera.

Top contributor haussmannvisuals created this stunning aerial tour of Norway's Lofoten Islands during the glorious summer months. The Lofotens are a chain of islands which lie off the coast of northern Norway, just within the Arctic Circle. For centuries, the islands were known for their cod fisheries, as giant schools of the fish come south from the Barents Sea to spawn off their shores. In more recent years, they have emerged as one of the up-and-coming travel destinations of Scandinavia. This video was a DVOW finalist in September, 2019.

DVOW finalist tsmedegard created this beautiful video showing some of the most iconic spots in the Lofoten Islands archipelago located off the coast of northern Norway. This video features the following locations: (1) Henningsvaer, an island village off the southern coast of Austvågøy; (2) Kvalvika Beach, on the northern coast of Moskenesøya; (3) Haukland Beach, on the western side of Vestvågøya; and (4) Uttakleiva, also on the island of Vestvågøya, just south of Haukland Beach. 

The stunning and dramatic landscapes of the Lofoten islands of northern Norway provide the perfect backdrop for this inspirational and powerful message. Nordland is one of the northern counties in Norway.  It includes the Lofoten Islands in addition to a substantial area on the Norwegian mainland.  Bisected by the Arctic Circle, the coastal areas offer a surprisingly temperate climate given the northern latitude.  As you can see in this drone video by rbendjebar, it is also one of the most beautiful parts of the world - from stunning mountains, to jagged cliffs that dive into the sea, to gushing waterfalls, and more. Top AirVuz contributor Eaglewood Pictures brings us this marvelous drone tour of an island archipelago off the Norwegian coast.  Træna is a municipality which consists of about a thousand (mostly) tiny islands, of which only four are inhabited.  Lying well to the south of the better-known Lofoten Islands, Træna is part of a historical region known as Helgeland which is essentially the southern portion of Nordland County, the southernmost of the three counties of Northern Norway. 

Top contributor hopenorway created this magnificent drone video of a well known cathedral in Central Norway.  Trondheim's Nidaros Cathedral pre-dates the Reformation - it was built during the Middle Ages, completed around 1300.  Today, it's considered the most important church in the Church of Norway, which is a branch of Lutheranism.  The structure was built on the burial site of King Olav II, the country's patron saint, and historically has been the coronotion site for the kings and queens of Norway.  

Check out this magnificent drone video of Trondheim, Norway, compliments of AirVuz contributor fotoknoff.  A port city in Norway's Central region, Trondheim is Norway's third-largest city and the center of Norway's fourth-largest urban area, after Oslo, Bergen, and Stavanger.  The capital of Norway during the Viking Age, Trondheim is one of Europe's greatest centers of higher learning as well as medical research.  Its best-known landmark is the Nidaros Cathedral; seen clearly in the video, it is Norway's equivalent of Westminster Abbey.

Check out these stunning drone views from the northern part of Norway, compliments of AirVuz contributor SKY DIRECTOR.  The first part of the video was filmed over Senja, a mountainous island which is the second-largest in the country outside of the Svalbard Archipelago.  The island is part of Troms og Finnmark, the northernmost of the "mainland" counties of Norway.  The remainder of the video was filmed over the Lofoten Islands, an archipelago which lies to the south of Senja but which is also inside the Arctic Circle.  

While Norway's largest city is in its southeastern region, most of the country's spectacular scenery lies on its west coast.  Along this long coastline lie a mind-boggling number of famous fjords, mountains, and towns and cities.  The visual cornucopia is the main reason why a large cruise ship trade has developed here.  In this video, contributor Mohri Films used a drone to create an epic captioned aerial tour of the Atlantic coastline.  It includes bird's eye views of Sognefjord, Trollstigen, Lovatnet, and more.   

Contributor JarneButtiens used a DJI Spark drone to create this beautiful aerial video of some of the most beautiful natural scenery in Norway.  The footage was captured in two counties: Oppland and Møre og Romsdal.  The former is in the south-central part of the country and is one of only two Norwegian landlocked counties.  It's considered part of the Østlandet (Eastern Region).  Møre og Romsdal lies to the north and west of Oppland. It is split between the country's Western and Central regions.  

Take a look at this magnificent drone video of a trek to a snow-covered mountain peak in Western Norway, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Vegardho.  Vegardho, whose first upload to AirVuz garnered a Drone Video of the Week nomination, aerially captured an epic hike to Mt. Grøvelnebba, near the town of Sunndalsøra.  Sunndalsøra is situated in the northeastern part of Møre og Romsdal County, one of the counties which make up the official region of Western Norway.  

Award-winning contributor Grim Berge created this amazing recreation of a scene from the 2018 blockbuster Mission: Impossible - Fallout from its original filming location.  Located in western Norway, Preikestolen, aka the Pulpit Rock, features a vertical cliff of over 600 meters (almost 2k ft.) down to the Lysefjorden.  Shot mainly with a DJI Inspire 2 drone, the video recreates an epic escape scene in the film, which was set in the Himalayas but was in fact filmed right here in Norway. 

The mountainous area of Jotunheimen is located in southern Norway. It is part of the long range known as the Scandinavian Mountains and is home to the country's 29 highest peaks. Drone pilot fotoknoff headed to the beautiful region to capture this stunning aerial film. Complete with shots of mountain bikers, cross country skiers, canoe boats, downhill skiers, and lovely shots of the boundless beauty the area has to offer this drone video will certainly leave you feeling inspired. At the end of the Oslofjord, in the southeastern part of Norway, lies its capital city Oslo.  The city was believed to be founded by Vikings in the 11th century.  The center of a metropolitan area of about 1.6 million inhabitants, it's the third-largest city in Scandinavia after Stockholm and Copenhagen.  Contributor Anders Edholm flew a DJI Mavic Pro drone over this remarkable city on one of the great fjords of Norway.  Oslo hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics, the first Winter Games to be held since before World War II.

Some of Norway's most beautiful scenery lies north of the country's most popular tourist areas, which are concentrated along its southwestern coastline.  In this excellent piece by new contributor ren_dd, you'll get some great aerial glimpses of the vast lands of Central and Northern Norway.  Shot with a DJI Phantom 4 drone, the features the footage of the North Cape on Magerøya Island at the northernmost extreme of mainland Norway; the southernmost spot featured is the Atlantic Road in Møre og Romsdal County.

In this video, contributor and pilot PilotViking treats us to a bird's eye view of a stave church, a once common church design in northern and western Europe.  Thousands of these wooden churches were built over a wide area, mostly in the late Middle Ages.  Alas, while they were easier and cheaper to build than stone churches, they did not have the same longevity: very few remain and virtually all of them are located in Norway.  This is the Hopperstad Church in Vik, a town in Fjordane Couty of western Norway. 

Norway is surrounded on most sides by water, so its landscape is defined by that relationship. The archipelago islands, fjords, glaciers, waterfalls, and thousands of miles of coastline all make it one of the most dramatic landscapes in the world. Top contributor timoksanen brings us this stunning drone video from the Lofoten Islands, the a Norwegian archipelago which lies on the North Atlantic Ocean.  The video was shot in July 2022, with aerial footage from a DJI Mavic Pro 3 supplemented with ground camera footage.  The video features some brilliant timelapse shots of the mountainous islands, as well as some nice wildlife closeups.  At the 3:15 mark, there's a nice shot of the Fredvang Bridges, a system of two spans which connect the islands of Moskenesøya and Flakstadøya.

Explore the beauty of Arctic Norway in this excellent travel video by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist SKY DIRECTOR.  The first part of the video was filmed on the island of Senja (Norway's second-largest island), where you'll see sights like Segla Mountain, which rises to a height of about 2.2k ft. above sea level (650 m).  In the second part of the video, you'll head south to the Lofoten Islands, an archipelago which lies just north of the Arctic Circle.  Highlights here include the Ryten mountaiun on the island of Moskenesøya.

This 4k drone video by boromdole is packed with footage of some of the top sights of Norway.  Shot over the course of two weeks in March and April of 2018, the video features the following locations: the city of Bergen; Øksfjord, Repvåg, and Bugøynes in Finnmark County; the Ersfjord and Gryllefjord on the island of Senja; Haukland Beach in Leknes, Bodø, Hovsundet, Mjeldevika, Mjellstranda, Kvalvica Beach, and Reine in Nordland County; and Hamnøy and Eliassen Rorbuer in the Lofoten Islands.

Lillehammer is probably the best known city in eastern Norway, after the capital city Oslo.  It is situated in Oppland County, about 170 km (approximately 100 mi) north of the capital.  It is in a valley surrounded by mountains.  Lillehammer is perhaps best known for hosting the 1994 Winter Olympics.  Lillehammer enjoys the distinction of being the northernmost city to ever host the Olympics.  Beta Films brings us this amazing drone video of Lillehammer and its beautiful alpine surroundings.

Check out this stunning compilation of first person view (FPV) footage from Norway, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot fure_fpv.  Shot with a long-range setup, the video features some absolutely incredible footage surfing the mountain ridges of this Scandinavian country.  Extremely cinematic, he pushes his flying skills to the limits navigating the spectacular natural scenery that abounds here, at times flying very far from "home".  This video was picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in September, 2020.  

Prepare to be blown away by this stunning drone video from Norway's Svalbard Islands, compliments of top AirVuz contributor denisbarbas.  The islands lie roughly halfway between the northern coast of mainland Norway and the North Pole.  At their northernmost point at around 81 degrees north latitude, the summer midnight sun (when the sun never sets) lasts 141 days, while the winter night (when the sun never rises above the horizon) lasts for 128 days.  The islands have only been continuously  settled since the early 2000's.

Top AirVuz contributor marco.trastu used a DJI Mavic 3 Classic and a DJI Avata 2 first person view (FPV) drone to create this memorable video of a two week trip through Norway.  At the :18 mark, there's a spectacular shot of a waterfall, and starting at around :30 there are a series of amazing FPV shots.  At the :54 mark, you'll see the Fredvang Bridges, a set of cantilevered spans which connect two of the Lofoten Islands.  Other highlights include the famous Henningsvær Stadium, also in the Lofotens (1:21).
