Top contributor Merr Watson, who hails from the Philippines, travels to world making amazing videos which incorporate extensive drone footage.  In this video, she covers the magical Philippines province of Palawan, which includes Palawan Island, the nearby Coron Island, and many others.  It's rapidly becoming one of the most popular travel destinations in the Philippines archipelago.  This amazing production was selected as a winner of the AirVuz Drone Video of the Month in June 2018.

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner davetke2002 brings us this outstanding drone video from the fabled beaches of El Nido in the Philippines.  El Nido is a first class municipality which sits at the tip of the peninsula which juts out from the northeastern end of the Palawan, the westernmost main island of the Philippines archipelago.   El Nido consistently ranks amongst the world's top beach destinations, appearing near the top of a recent Condé Nast Traveler's list of "20 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World." 

Lying between the Sulu Sea and South China Sea, the Province of Palawan is an archipelago in the Philippines. It's believed that humans have lived in Palawan for more the 50,000 years and ancient relics have been found in the area that are approximately 5,000 years old. With so much history, it’s easy to see why people might want to travel there. Top contributor Bachir_Photo_Phactory put together this marvelous 60 second DVOW Finalist travel reel from the Philippines. The focus of the video is the legendary beach area known as El Nido. El Nido is actually a municipality which covers the northern tip of Palawan, the westernmost of the main islands of the Philippines. With its towering coastal cliffs and rock formations forming numerous semi-secluded beaches, El Nido frequently appears near the top of authoritative rankings of the world's top beach destinations. 

Coron island sits at the far northern end of the Palawan province of the Philippines, northeast of the province's main island of Palawan and across the Mindoro Strait from the much larger island of Mindoro.  Coron is a place of stunning white sand beaches, beautiful hills, and torquoise blue water.  Contributor Bbloss used a drone and some very impressive video editing technique to create this amazing aerial view of the tropical paradise in the western reaches of the Philippines Archipelago. 

Top AirVuz contibutor and pilot christer_isulat brings us this stunning drone video from the province of Palawan in the Philippines.  The video features footage from the island of Palawan (the largest in the province, which is the westernmost of the states of the Philippines) as well as the much smaller island of Coron which lies to its north.  Watch it and you'll see why Palawan, with its distinctive-looking rocky cliffs, hidden cove beaches, and paraw boats, has emerged as one of the world's top tropical destinations.  

The El Nido area of the Philippines is one of the world's most famous beach destinations; it routinely shows up at the top of authoritative surveys of most-desired beach vacation trips.  In this amazing video by AirVuz contributor Wild Sky Visuals,  you'll explore fabled El Nido via a first person view (FPV) drone.  El Nido is located at the northern end of Palawan, the westernmost major island in the Philippine archipelago.  This video was picked for the FPV PIlots to Watch list in January of 2023.  

Prepare to be amazed by this incredible drone video from the island of Palawan in the western Philippines, compliments of AirVuz contributor FSJR.  The video includes footage of the El Nido area at the northern tip of the island, as well as the Puerto Princesa area.  The town of Puerto Princesa covers roughly the middle third of the long, narrow island.  While it is actually a significant city of over 300k, most of its large land area is sparsely populated and it's home to countless cove beaches.  

The island of Coron in the Philippines has become one of the world's hottest beach destinations.  Located off the northern tip of the larger island of Palawan, one of the attractions of Coron is its line of lakes which extend from the middle of the island northward.  In this drone video by pnoymavic30, you'll get a bird's eye view of Kayangan Lake.  With its spectacular crystal waters, it's the northernmost lake of the group, lying just a few km/mi inland from the island's northern coastline. This video was a DVOW nominee in August, 2019. 

Port Barton, Philippines  sits on a bay of the same name on the northern part of the Palawan coastline, facing the South China Sea to its west.  Far from any large towns and with semi-protected waters, it's become popular with active travelers seeking places for kayaking, backpacking, and other outdoor activities.  Contributor and pilot Jack Shirley created this amazing aerial video of Port Barton and the nearby German Island; prepare to be amazed by the beauty of this tropical island paradise.  

A paraw is a type of sailboat which is native to the Palawan province of the Philippines.  Developed organically as a form of waterborne transportation over many years, these double hull outriggers are extremely suitable to cruising between the numerous islands of the region.  Contributor Vincent Hurdequint used a drone to film these amazing sailboats plying the crystal blue waters of the South China Sea, providing us with a bird's eye view of a unique and highly native form of water transportation! 

Palawan in the Philippines is both an island and a province.  The province includes several other islands, the most notable of which sit to the north of Palawan Island, the oblong shaped island which is the main part of the province.  The region of Coron covers much of this northern island area, including the island of Coron itself.  In this video, contributor and pilot URL_Eleven uses a drone to give us a bird's eye view of this island paradise, which includes hundreds of small uninhabited islets.  

Some of the most popular beach areas of the Philippines lie on the western coast of Palawan, the long narrow island which is also the center of Palawan province and marks the westernmost extent of the archipelago.  The island's western coastline is lined with bays and islands.  Two of these bays have become world-class destinations - Barton Bay, and El Nido Bay to its north.  Jack Shirley created this epic video by capturing drone footage from both of these tropical paradises, which sit on the South China Sea.

Contributor Enoksen89 brings us this amazing aerial tour of the Palawan Archipelago, a group of islands (and an official province) in the western Philippines.  The province is centered on the long narrow island bearing the same name and many smaller islands which lie nearby, primarily to its northeast.  Watch this video and you'll see why Palawan has become a go-to beach destination, nowadays frequently mentioned in the same breath as legendary beach spots like Bali, Phuket, and Tahiti. 

Part II of contributor Big Head Greg's epic four part series on Philippines' Palawan province is shot exclusively on Coron Island.  Coron is the best known (although not the biggest) of the islands which lie to the northeast of Palawan Island, in some places nearer to the island of Mindoro than to Palawan itself.  As you will see from the video, Coron is a place of surreal beauty, with dozens of paraws (a type of sailing vessel unique to the area) floating in stunning, quiet, deep-blue lagoons.

Top contributor Inigui created this magnificent aerial look at what may be the most beautiful beach in the Philippines.  Corong-Corong Beach is in the municipality of El Nido, which occupies the northern tip of Palawan Island.  It sits on Bacuit Bay, just to the south of the area's more well known beaches on El Nido Bay.  The video opens with an epic shot flying across Bacuit Bay toward a steep "mini-mountain", with Corong-Corong Beach on the right.  As the drone ascends, you'll also get a look at El Nido Bay.

The Municipality of Coron is part of the province of Palawan, the westernmost province of the Philippines. Made up of over 50 islands and minor islets, the islands of Palawan are all part of a grouping known as the Calamian Archipelago. They also separate the South China Sea from the Sulu Sea. However, Coron's geographic position isn't what makes it so noteworthy. It is its magnificent beaches, jungles, and crystal clear waters, seen in this video by Droneland, that make it a top tropical destination. 

Drone maker Autel Robotics shows us the stunning video quality of their compact foldable EVO drone in this amazing aerial video from the Palawan province of the island nation of the Philippines.  The drone's camera brings out the stunning colors of this area, which represents the westernmost extent of the Philippines archipelago.  The video includes footage of Palawan's famous white sand beaches and coves, as well as some of the many islands which surround the main island of Palawan itself.

Contributor Dronesantana007 created this stunning aerial video of two of the most well known beach spots on the legendary Palawan Island in the western Philippines.  El Nido is an area in northern Palawan; it's on a peninsula which sticks out due north from the main island's northern tip.  El Nido is home to most the Palawan's most famous beach areas.  The second location, Puerto Princesa, is located a ways to the southwest, nearer the center of the island.  It's the capital of the province of Palawan.

Contributor @surf.the.sky took a drone along for a four day boat tour of the Coron region of the Philippines, producing this epic travel video.  Somewhat confusingly, Coron is both an island and a municipality, the latter being the level of geographical organization below the provincial level in the Philippines.  The municipality consists of several of the Calamian Islands which lie to the north of the island of Palawan, all of which are part of the province of Palawan.  Palawan is the westernmost province of the Philippines.

Top contributor and pilot Droneland created a magnificent multi-part series of travels on the northern part of Palawan Island in the Philippines, of which this is installment #2.  El Nido, which is the municipality that covers the northern tip of Palawan, is one of the gems of the Philippines - it was voted as the world's #6 island in a recent Travel and Leisure survey.  Its spectacular white sand beaches are backed by magnificent mountains, which create "hideaways" for swimmers and boaters alike.      

Top contributor Carlo Caacbay created this magnificent drone video of one of the least known parts of the Philippines' Palawan province.  It's called Balabac, and it's a group of about three dozen islands which lie to the south of the main island of Palawan.  Located far to the south of El Nido and the Coron islands, Balabac is home to some of the most unusual flora and fauna in the entire Philippines archipelago.  It is considered a likely candidate to be named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the near future.  

Check out this beautiful drone video from the Philippipines' province of Palawan, compliments of top contributor Wild and Free Travel.  It was filmed in Honda Bay, which lies on the eastern side of the middle of the province's main (and eponymously named) island.  The video features three of the smaller islands in the bay: Luli Island, Pambato Reef, and Cowrie Island.  They lie just a short distance (by boat) from Puerto Princesa, the main city of Palawan.  Historically dependent on fishing, like the rest of Palawan it's become a popular tourist spot.

Coron is a municipality (or town) in Palawan, Philippines. The municipality is made up of parts of two main islands and about 50 other minor islets, and is also home to the Coron Island Natural Biotic Area.
