Drone Videos of Taipei

Brand-new contributor Walter Aerial used a DJI Inspire 3 drone to create this marvelous aerial tour of Taipei, capital of the island nation of Taiwan.  The video opens with a series of nighttime shots of the city, which lies at the northern tip of the island.  At the 1:00 mark, there's a magnificent shot of the Taipei 101 tower, the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2009 and still Taiwan's tallest.  Other highlights include a fireworks display along the Tamsui River at the 2:45 mark, the city's port (3:07), and more.  

Enjoy these stunning nighttime aerial views of Taipei, Taiwan by AirVuz contributor NI.  The video opens with shots of the Taipei 101 tower, which was the tallest building in the world for several years in the early 21st century.  At about the :15 mark, you'll see Shin Kong Life Tower, which was the city's tallest building when it opened in 1993 and is still among the top five as of 2023.  Other highlights include some great shots of the city's commuter trains.  This video was a Drone Video of the Week Finalist. 

The city of Taipei is the capital of the island nation of Taiwan as well as its largest city.  It's situated at the north end of the island, on the Tamsui River near its mouth on the South China Sea.  The city is teeming with skyscrapers, making it one of the most impressive skylines in the world.  Its most recognizable landmark is the Tapei 101 Tower, which has a roof height of 450 meters (about 1.5k ft).  Check out the 101 Tower and other sights of Taipei in this excellent drone travel reel by contributor Sukoon2fly.  

Check out this excellent video production from Taiwan, compliments of AirVuz contributor StarEye.  The video, which combines drone and ground camera footage and hyperlapse edits, was filmed over the northern part of the island, in and around Taipei.  The video opens with a shot of the Fuguijiao Lighthouse, at Taiwan's northern tip.  The highlight though is a nighttime hyperlapse sequence from downtown Taipei which starts at the :35 mark: check out the epic view of the 101 story Taipei 101 building, the world's tallest for a half-decade.

AirVuz contributor and pilot Curie Chuang used a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom to create this marvelous aerial video of Taipei, Taiwan.  The video opens with a series of day-and-night shots looking towards the Taipei 101 tower, once the tallest building in the world and still the tallest on the island.  From there you'll fly over other spots around this dynamic city, including the under-construction Taiwan Dome and the super-luxury TaoZhuYin YuanTower.  Other shots will bring you over the streets of the city as some of its giant highways.  

Clouds rush overhead casting their quick-paced shadows over the city skyline of Taipei, Taiwan in this short, but sweet, drone video.  Using hyperlapse filming and editing technique (which involves stitching together thousands of still photos), AirVuz contributor Roger'sSkyBird speeds up the flow of everyday life that courses through the Taiwanese capital.  His aerial footage features notable places like the Bitan Scenic Area, Xiaobitan Park, Guting Riverside Park, and Tamsui District.  The video was created using a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone.

Check out these excellent hyperlapse sequences of Taipei, Taiwan, compliments of AirVuz contributor Roger'sSkyBird and his Mavic Pro 2 Zoom drone.  The video was shot in daytime and nighttime conditions from the perspective of the Tamsui River, facing towards the east.  In the distance, you'll spot the Taipei 101 Tower, which has a roof height of about 450 meters or around  1.475k ft.  When it was completed in 2004, the 101 story tower was the world's tallest skyscraper, a title it retained for about a half-decade.  

New AirVuz contributor and pilot used a DJI Mavic Air 2 to create this stunning aerial view of the Tamsui District of Taipei on the island of Taiwan.  The district lies on the north bank of the Tamsui River near its mouth on the Strait of Taiwan.  It's part of New Taipei City, the jurisdiction which covers the territory immediately surrounding the national capital city.  Closely tied to seafaring, Tamsui is considered one of the cultural treasures of Taiwan.  It's known as one of the world's most important fishing ports.  

Contributor Roger'sSkybird made excellent use of his DJI Mavic Zoom drone to create this beautiful collage of Taipei, Taiwan.  The video includes footage from the following locations: Bitan Scenic Area in the Xindian District on the city's northern end, the Yongfu Bridge in the Yonghe District, the Guting District in the southern part of the city, New Tapei City (the area surrounding the core city), and  the Guting Riverside Park. You'll also get some great views of the city's rivers and its giant Tapei 101 tower. 

Check out this fantastic drone video of a well-known Taoist temple in northern Taiwan, compliments of new contributor MavicAir2TW.  It's called the Wuji Tianyuan Temple, and it's located in the mountains of New Taipei City, just outside of the national capital.   Taoism, which originated in the Chinese mainland, is often synthesized with Buddhism and Confucianism; the majority of Taiwanese observe the three faiths in combination.  The temple is a major tourist attraction in Greater Taipei, particularly during the cherry blossom season. 

Here's an amazing drone video showing the construction of a landmark new bridge in Taipei, Taiwan, compliments of Roger'SkyBird.  It's called the Danjiang Bridge, and it will link the districts of Tamsui and Bali.  The highly asymmetric cable-stayed bridge features a massive 200 meters (about 660 ft.) tower, which is what you'll see being constructed in the video.  When the bridge is completed, it will be the longest single-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world.   

Tamsui, Taiwan is a district of New Taipei City, the entity which covers the territory surrounding the city of Taipei.  Tamsui lies downstream on the Tamsui River from the national capital, at its mouth on the Strait of Taiwan.   For centuries, Tamsui has been closely associated with fishing, and its Fisherman's Wharf is one of the district's main attractions.  Seen here in this drone video by new AirVuz contributor MavicAir2TW, the wharf is located on a peninsula at the very western tip of the district.  

Contributor Rogers'sSkybird created this beautiful dronelapse of Taipei, Taiwan with his DJI Mavic Pro Zoom.  The video includes both daytime and nighttime sequences from this very modern city which is the core of a metro area of well over 8 million.  You'll see some great footage of the city's river waterfront, as well as the mountain peaks of Qixing Mountain and Mt. Datun which loom to the north and east of the city.  You'll also get some nice views of the Tapei 101 skyscraper, the country's tallest.  

Taiwan's New Tapei City is essentially suburban Taipei; it forms a ring around the capital city and is actually more populous than the city itself.  In this drone video by Will Fly, you'll get an aerial view of one of the more popular destinations in Taipei City: the Fisherman's Wharf in Tamsui, a district immediately to the northwest of Taipei proper, near the mouth of the Tamsui River.  An important fishing center in historical times, Tamsui is considered one of the most culturally significant districts in northern Taiwan.

Contributor caldina3188 created this marvelous drone video of the Taiwanese capital city of Taipei.  The highlight of the video is at the :30 mark, where you'll get a spectacular over-the-top view of the city's tallest skyscraper: the 101 story Tapei 101 Center.  When the 508 meter (almost 1.7k ft.) office tower was completed in 2004, it displaced the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lampur to become the world's tallest building.  It held that title until being surpassed by Dubai's Burj Khalifa; as of mid-2019, it's #10 in the world. 

Contributor and pilot BestdayEver brightened our day with this amazing drone video of a famous rock formation on the island nation of Taiwan.  The Shen’ao Elephant Trunk Rock is situated on the coast of the Ruifang District of New Tapei City, the administrative area which covers much of northern Taiwan including the Taipei suburbs.  As you can see from the video, the name of the rock is quite appropriate - it really does resemble an elephant's trunk.  The rock and nearby fishing village lie beneath Mt. Shen'ao.
