Taipei is the capital and largest city of Taiwan, an island nation which lies across the Formosa Strait from mainland China. It's located near the northern tip of the island, at the confluence of several of Taiwan's most important rivers. A city of nearly three million, it's the center of the Taipei–Keelung Metropolitan Area, which includes the nation's second-largest seaport and has a population of over eight million. One of the great cities of Asia, Taipei is home to one of the world's most well-known skyscrapers: Taipei 101 Center, which was the tallest building on earth in the early part of the 21st century. Here is a collection of the best drone videos of this important metropolis on the island once known as Formosa.
