Here's an awesome aerial mini-tour of the Colombian capital city, Bogota.  The video opens with a great shot looking toward Estadio El Campín (sometimes called El Campín), the country's great football stadium.  At about the :15 mark, you'll see the Fallen Lord Shrine atop the great mountain Monserrate that overlooks the city.  Following some more shots from the mountains surrounding the city, you'll head back to town for more shots of the stadium, the Moviestar indoor arena, finishing with some shots of the downtown skyscrapers.

One of Colombia's most iconic views is from the Fallen Lord Church atop Mount Monserrate, a 3.1k meter (10.3k ft) peak which overlooks the great capital city of Bogota in the central part of the country.  The mountain itself was considered sacred land going to pre-Columbus times.  La.drones used a DJI Phantom 3 Professional drone to create this amazing video of Bogota, with an epic opening shot from atop the mountain, which forms the southern part of the great valley in which the city is situated.

The Biggest Mural in Bogotá

la.drones...

Bogotá, Colombia is one of the largest cities in South America, and can also make a good claim to being the street art capital of the continent.  One of the biggest murals in the city is in the neighborhood of Los Puentes where its inhabitants turned the walls of their houses into a giant work of art.  They painted all their houses and stairways to create the biggest mural in the entire city!  See this amazing artwork built by this community in this stunning aerial footage by top contributor and drone pilot la.drones.

Contributor FabianBPhoto created this beautiful night drone video of Bogota's Colpatria Tower, one of the tallest buildings in South America.  Completed in 1979, it was the tallest building in this South American country for over 35 years before being topped by the BD Bacatá tower in 2016.  Colpatria Tower has 50 stories, and reaches a height of just under 200 meters (about 680 feet).  It houses the headquarters of Colpatria Bank, one of the largest banking organizations in the country.

New AirVuz contributor theandron07 brings us this excellent drone video from the great Colombian capital of Bogotá.  The "star" of the show is the Colpatria Tower, which is a 50 story office tower in the heart of the city's central business district.  Standing 643 ft. tall (196 m), it was Colombia's tallest building when it was completed in 1979.  While there are now (as of early 2022) three taller buildings in the country, Colpatria Tower is still perhaps the most recognizable due to a 36 color lighting system installed in 1998.

Contributor and pilot Stefranceschi used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create this amazing aerial view of the Colombian capital city Bogota as well as the nearby town of Guatavita.  Bogota highlights include shots of the Barrio La Colina and the Estadio Nemesio Camacho.  The latter is the main football (soccer) stadium in the Colombian capital city.  Completed in 1938, in current configuration it seats just over 36k spectators.   The stadium is home to the Independiente Santa Fe and Millonarios teams.

Chorro de Cavado

FabianBPho...

AirVuz contributor and drone pilot FabianBPhoto was hired to create an aerial tour of the recently revitalized Chorro de Quevado neighborhood of Bogotá, Colombia.  The neighborhood is believed (by some) to be the site where modern day Bogotá was founded.  It's situated in the La Candelaria district, to the southeast of the more modern parts of the city.  With its own unique set of colors, the square blends in beautifully with the surrounding parts of the city, one of the world's most colorful.

Cold and cheerful Christmas in Bogota

Rodrigosv...

The Colombian capital city of Bogotá has a surprisingly temperate climate given its location so close to the equator.  The reason, quite simply, is elevation.  Situated in a plateau in the Andes Mountains region, this metropolis has a base elevation of 2.65k meters (just under 8.7k ft.) above sea level.  While that's not quite as high as Quito or La Paz, it's high enough to produce snow in the winter months.  Exhibit A is this amazing drone video from Rodrigosv, showing a snowy Bogotá at Christmastime.
