Bogotá is the capital of Colombia and one of the largest of the South American cities. The city is situated in the middle of the country on a high plateau which forms part of the Andes Mountains system. While the area around Bogotá had been occupied by indigenous peoples for centuries, the modern city was founded in 1538 by Spanish conquistadores. With that history, and being one of the top ten Catholic-majority cities in the world by population, it's not surprising that this city is home to some of the world's most well known churches. These older cultural treasures sit comfortably alongside the city's ultra-modern skyscrapers and world-reknowned urban art scene. Here are the best drone videos from this impressive city at the foot of Mt. Monserrate. Aerial photo: "Bogotá/Colombia" by AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Skyworks.Colombia.
