Amsterdam is the largest city in the Netherlands as well as its capital. It's situated at the confluence of the Amstel River and a body of water known as the IJ, which connects the North Sea to the IJmeer inland lake. A comparatively young city by Dutch standards, Amsterdam became a great trading center during the Early Modern period and during its Golden Age in the 16th-17th centuries it became the world's most important commercial and financial center. Still one of the great European cities, Amsterdam is known for its extensive system of canals, famous churches, and giant museums, in addition to its extensive system of bike paths and ubiquitous cafes. In this collection, you'll find the best drone videos of the city, which famously sits about two meters below sea level (just over six feet).
