Top contributor and drone pilot Seven Roads Media brings us this fantastic DVOW nominated video from San Diego, California.  The video opens with a shot of the pier of Pacific Beach, just north of Mission Bay, before cutting to the Cove area of La Jolla.  At the :18 mark, there's a nice timelapse of the city's harbor, followed by some nice shots of San Diego's legendary surfing scene.  Other shots include the Mission Beach Rollercoaster (aka the Giant Dipper), the Pacific Surfliner passenger train on the Pacific Coastal Highway, and more.  

See the city of San Diego, California from above in this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor and pilot agomez760.  Shot with a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone, the video opens with a great shot of the city's downtown skyline along the shore of San Diego Bay.  From there you'll head to the Coronado Bridge, which crosses the bay and connects the city of San Diego to Coronado.  You'll also see the Silver Strand, the thin strip of sand which connects Coronado to Imperial Beach and which forms much of the western extent of the bay.

Take in these marvelous aerial views of sunny San Diego, California, compliments of contributor Zaparolli.  Most of the video was shot around Balboa Park, a 1200 acre urban park located just to the northeast of downtown.  The land of the park was placed in reserve in 1835, making it one of the oldest parks in the USA.  Best known as the home of the world-famous San Diego Zoo, the park hosted the 1915–16 Panama–California Exposition and the 1935–36 California Pacific International Exposition; it's listed as a National Historic Landmark.  

While FAA rules forbid drone flights over Major League Baseball games, there are no such rules on days when no games are played.  While access to the stadium is controlled by its owners, a drone pilot with the right connections can create an aerial video of the venue.  Contributor Robby Incmakowski, a TV sports reporter, was at Petco Park in San Diego when he created this epic bird's eye view of the $450 million stadium.  Home of the San Diego Padres, the 2004 vintage park seats just over 40,000.  

Solana Beach is one of the seaside communities of San Diego County in Southern California.  It is situated a bit less than 40 km (around 22 mi.) north of downtown San Siego, between Del Mar and Cardiff-by-the-Sea.  Seen here in this drone video by ayman803, Solana Beach has seen thousands of residential units built atop its sandstone bluffs.   Many of these were built during decades of cooperative weather; unfortunately, in recent years, some of these bluffs have collapsed during periods of heavy rainfall.  

Take in these glorious aerial views of the California seaside enclave of La Jolla, compliments of AirVuz contributor AerialWings.  La Jolla is situated just a few km/miles north of downtown San Diego on the Pacific Coast.  The town has always been extremely popular with surfers, snorkelers, kayakers, and hang gliders who launch from La Jolla's famed cliffs overlooking the beach.  In recent decades, La Jolla has emerged as one of the USA's wealthiest communities, with home prices ranging well into the tens of millions of dollars.  

Take a ride with top contributor and drone pilot th3venture and his fiancee on an epic road trip through the USA's Golden State of California.  The video, which combines drone and ground camera footage, starts in the southernmost city of San Diego.  From there it's on to Joshua Tree National Park in the Mojave Desert, Cambria in San Luis Obispo County, Big Sur, the Monterey Peninsula (incuding the Bixby Bridge, shown in the opening credits of the Big Little Lies TV show), Santa Cruz, and more.

Check out this stunning drone video of Lake Hodges, a reservoir lake located in San Diego County, California.  Situated about a half hour drive north of downtown San Diego, Lake Hodges covers about five square km (around two square mi.) when full. The lake serves as the reservoir for Lake Hodges Dam, which was completed in 1918.  The primary purpose of the dam is to provide irrigation water to this very arid region.  Contributor taskforce20 created this excellent sunrise video of this important reservoir lake.  

Del Mar is one of the most well-known of the beach communities north of San Diego, California.  Located about 32 km (around 20 mi.) north of downtown, Del Mar is home to some of the finest beaches in Southern California.  With a population of less than 5k, it's also one of the region's most exclusive communities, with most single-family homes priced well over $1 million and not a few at multiples of that figure.  Check out the beautiful beaches of Del Mar in this drone video by contributor ayman803.

AirVuz contributor onewheeldrone brings us this excellent drone video of Crystal Pier, one of the landmarks of Pacific Beach, a neighborhood of San Diego, California.  Pacific Beach is located just north of Mission Bay, roughly between Sea World to the south and La Jolla to the north.  Once considered an inexpensive neighborhood for surfers and college students, in recent years it's priced many of these would-be residents out of the market.  Pacific Beach continues to be home to one of the city's most dynamic nightlife scenes.  

The beach community of La Jolla, California, is one of the most exclusive in the USA.  Located just a few km/mi north of downtown San Diego, La Jolla is home to some of the most expensive real estate on the West Coast.  With a coastline alternating between bluffs and sandy beaches, La Jolla is actually a neighborhood within the city of San Diego.  The visual heart of La Jolla is an area known as the Cove.  Seen in this drone video by JordanB22, the cove sits right beneath the main commercial district of La Jolla.  

Contributor taskforce20 put together this excellent drone video of the flower fields of Carlsbad, California.  Carlsbad is one of the communities of northern San Diego County.  Located about 55 km (around 35 mi.) north of downtown San Diego, Carlsbad is one of the wealthiest communities in California.   The subject of the video is one of the top attractions in Carlsbad: it's massive Flower Field.  Located on a ranch, the Flower Field is open for just a short time every spring, during which time it attracts up to 200k visitors. 

Check out this excellent drone video of a Southern California beach community called Cardiff-by-the-Sea, compliments of contributor ayman803.  It's part of the city of Encinitas, in northern San Diego County.  Located about a half hour drive north of downtown San Diego, it was developed beginning in the early 1900's by a Boston developer whose Welsh wife persuaded him to name it after the seaside town in Wales.  Cardiff-by-the-Sea is home to some of the top surfing spots in the so-called North County.

Brand-new AirVuz contributor Vasko Visuals brings us this fantastic drone video from San Diego, California.  One of the USA's most attractive cities, San Diego lies just north of the US-Mexican border, on a natural harbor of the Pacific Ocean.  The video opens with a great shot of the cross atop Mt. Soledad in La Jolla, just north of the city center, followed by shots from the "Cove" area on the La Jolla coastline.  Much of the rest of the video was shot around the San Diego–Coronado Bridge, which connects the city to Coronado Island.  

The cliffs of Torrey Pines just north of downtown San Diego, California have long been one of the world's top spots for hang-gliding.  Not surprisingly, the area has become similarly popular with the (relatively) newer extreme sport of paragliding.  And what better way to watch paragliders plying these beautiful cliffs than with a first person view (FPV) racing drone?  Top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot shows us the way with this fantastic piece, in which he expertly chases these skilled fliers and brings the sport into a new perspective.

Talented AirVuz contributor and pilot Nu Aerial brings us this excellent drone video from the fabled beach town of La Jolla, California.  Situated just a few km/miles north of downtown San Diego on the Pacific Coast, La Jolla's name translates to "the Jewel", and with good reason.  It has always been extremely popular with surfers, snorkelers, kayakers, and hang gliders, the last of whom launch from La Jolla's famed cliffs overlooking the beach.  The video was shot at sunset with a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone.
