Pilatus, a massif which overlooks the town of Lucerne and which is "shared" by the cantons of Nidwalden and Obwalden.  The highest peak of the massif, Tomlishorn, has a summit altitude of just under 7k ft. above sea level or a little over 2.1k m.  The massif is part of the Emmental Alps, a subchain of the larger Alps system which lies to the north of the Bernese Alps.

(a bit under 1.6k square km) and is sparsely populated, with around 8k full-time residents.  Since 1972, Senja has been connected to the mainland via the Gisund Bridge.
