2023 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 9

Former DVOW Finalist DroneDirector put together this excellent highlight reel showing some of his best footage from his travels around the world over the course of seven years.  The reel opens with a series of shots from Denmark's Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic Ocean, followed by shots of Hammershus Castle on the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea.  At the 1:05 mark, there's a magnificent view of the tiny Mediterranean city-state of Monaco.  The video concludes with views of the medieval city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. 

There's much to love in this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone showreel by top contributor and FPV pilot Shamkhal_fpv.  In just the first few seconds, you'll zip over some desert sand dunes, fly through the famous "Hollywood" sign, and chase (with some very clever VFX) a Rebel Alliance X-Wing Star Fighter.  Further on, you'll chase a speedskater, fly over a football field, and dive the Seattle Space Needle.  Other highlights include some  epic chase sequences involving drift cars, go karts, flyboarders, and more.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist davidpardo71 brings us this stunning drone video from the Dolomite Mountains in northeastern Italy.  Filmed with a DJI Air 2S during the sunrise hours, the video features footage from the following locations: the Alpe de Siusi region in the province of South Tyrol; Lago Fedèra, an alpine lake in the province of Belluno; the Grupo Cadini mountain group, in South Tyrol; and the famous Tres Cimes de Lavaredo formation, which lies on the border between the provinces of South Tyrol and Belluno.  

Take in these glorious views of Italy's Dolomite Mountains, compliments of AirVuz contributor and drone pilot AndreaSagui.  The video was filmed in the region of Veneto, one of the two main regions over which the distinctive-looking chain is spread (the other being the Trentino-Alto-Adigio region, to the west).  The Dolomites are part of the Southern Limestone Alps mountains.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest in early March of 2023.
