2023 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 32

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner oberschneider used a DJI Mavic 3 Cine to create this stunning aerial video from the Austrian Alps.  The video was created using the platform's three separate cameras to create a parallax effect, in which different areas in the field of view appear to move at different speeds.  The impressive quality of the video is testament to the capabilities of the flagship of the Mavic line, which packs an impressive array of electronics in a package weighing only bit more than two pounds (about one kg).  

Top contributor haussmannvisuals used three drones - a DJI Mavic Pro 2, a DJI Mavic 3 Cine, and a DJI FPV drone (with a mounted GoPro Hero 10 camera) - to create this stunning close-up aerial tour of a volcanic eruption that spewed huge quantities of molten lava over southwestern Iceland beginning on July 10, 2023.   The Litli-Hrútur event was the third modern era eruption of the Fagradalsfjall volcanic complex  on the Reykjanes peninsula near Reykjavik, which erupted in 2021 and 2022 following 800 years of volcanic silence in the area.

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner PureCreations.pl brings us these marvelous aerial views of the famed Dalmatian Coast of Croatia.  The video opens with shots of the area around Brela on a stretch of the coastline known as the Makarska Riviera, due east of the island of Brač.  Just before the :30 mark, you'll see the brand new bridge over the Cetina River in Omiš.  At :35 you'll see Klis Fortress, in the hills above the city of Split, before heading back to Omiš to the mouth of the Cetina River at the :42 mark.  .  

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner and 2023 DVOY nominee gianluigipalomba used a DJI Mavic 3 drone to create this aerial video of the Litli-Hrútur volcano in southwestern Iceland in the course of its summer, 2023 eruption.  It's part of the Fagradalsfjall volcanic complex on the Reykjanes Peninsula near Reykjavik which began erupting in early 2021, the first such activity in over 800 years in Reykjanes.  When it first began spewing lava on July 2023, Litli-Hrútur initially had higher lava flows than the 2021-2022 Fagradalsfjall eruptions. 

AirVuz contributor twentyonebyninefims used a DJI Mavic 3 Cine to create this compilation of aerial highlights of his travels throughout Ireland.  Expertly narrated, the video covers several of the most beautiful spots on the Emerald Isle.  Featured locations include the Dingle, a peninsula on the Wild Atlantic Way in the southwestern corner of the island; the village of Enniskerry and the nearby coastal town of Bray, both of which are in County Wicklow on Ireland's eastern coast; and the Wicklow Mountains, just a bit to their west.
