2023 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 25

Former DVOW Winner timroosjen brings us this stunning aerial tour of the landscapes and seascapes of Cyprus, Greece.  At the :23 mark, there's a great shot of the Cape Greco headland, at the southeastern tip of the island.  At around the :40 mark, you'll see the wreck of the Edro III, which ran aground near Pegeia at the western tip of the island in 2011.  At the 1:07 mark, there's a dramatic shot of the cliffs around Cape Aspro on the southwestern coast.  Other highlights include the Troodos Mountains (1:26) and Aphrodite's Rock (1:42).  

You'll be amazed by this drone tour of the Middle Eastern kingdom of Jordan, compliments of creator omar.flies.  Created for the Jordan Tourism Board, the video - a 2023 FPV Drone Video of the Year nominee - incorporates footage from a DJI Mavic 3 drone as well as first person view (FPV) quads. The video opens in the Wadi Rum, a desert valley in southern Jordan famous for its sandstone structures.  Just after 1:00, you'll see the ruins of Jerash in northern Jordan.  Later, you'll see the Dead Sea, the city of Amman, and the ruins of Petra.  

AirVuz contributor and former Drone Video of the Week Finalist RG CAM is one of the top commercial drone filming companies in Brazil.   In this impressive reel, they show some of the highlights of the first seven years of theiir professional aerial videography work.  The reel features a mix of footage from across this giant South American country, including including some epic action shots.  You'll also see recognizable spots such as the massive Iguazu Falls and the Newton Navarro Bridge in the northeastern city of Natal.

Former Drone Video of the Week/Month Winner Tiborianer brings us this stunning travel video record of a trip between Melbourne and Sydney, Australia's second-largest and largest cities.  Filmed primarily with a DJI Mavic 3 drone, the video features stunning footage from along this roughly 900 mi. journey (1.4k km) along the coastal route.  Highlights include a stunning shot of Sydney's Harbor Bridge just before the :40 mark, some epic surfing shots starting at around :55, and a dramatic view of the Sydney skyline at 2:00.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Kpax brings us this magnificent aerial video of Switzerland's Lago di Cama and the surrounding mountains during the summer season.  The tiny lake, which only covers a little over 30 acres, is located in Grisons, Switzerland's easternmost canton and its largest by land area.  With a surface elevation of a bit under 4.2k ft. above sea level (around 1.3k m), the lake is part of the alpine valley known as Valle Mesolcina.  The video was primarily filmed with a DJI Air 2S drone.
