2022 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 25

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot flumz fpv put together this impressive reel showing the highlights of his first year as an FPV pilot.  Opening with a shot breaking through the clouds, the video will then take you on a loop around a hot-air balloon.  Then you'll chase an assortment of watercraft, be chased by (via a backward-facing camera) a BMX rider, then hit the slopes for a back-country ski chase.  Well worth a watch, this video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2022.  

Multiple DVOW Winner KASH brings us this stunning drone video from Hong Kong on the eve of the territory's implementation of much stricter regulations regarding drone flights.  Starting at aound the :10 mark, there's a nice shot looking toward some of the tallest skyscrapers on Hong Kong Island, and at the :16 mark you'll fly over the IFC's Tower 2, the island's tallest skyscraper.  Other highlights include some of the city's port faciities starting at 1:08, the skyscapers of West Kowloon (2:19), and more.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner sinaysky brings us this stunning drone video from the Bay of Kotor in the Southeast European country of Montenegro.  The video opens with a shot from the town of Kotor, which lies at the southern end of the inner part of the bay (an inlet of the Adriatic Sea).  Then you'll head north to the bay's two tiny islands: the  Island of Saint George and Island of Our Lady of the Rocks.  At around the 2:10 mark, you'll get a nice view of the town of Tivat, which lies on the eastern side of the outer bay.  

Travel around the world by first person view (FPV) drone in this fantastic FPV reel by AirVuz contributor Wisco FPV.  The reel features locations on four different continents: North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.  Specific spots include Les Chutes du Carbet on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe; the Greek island of Oia; the island of Boracay in the central Philippines; Cofete Beach on the Spanish island of Fuerteventura, off the coast of North Africa; and Bangkok and Maya Bay in Thailand.

Experience the beauty of the mighty Alps Mountains in this marvelous video by top AirVuz contributor Shikijo, which combines footage from a gimbal-stabilized drone as well as a first person view (FPV) quad.  The video was created over a seven day period, filmed mostly at sunrise.  Beautifully edited, the piece does a great job showing the contrast between the two types of drones.  This video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in late June of 2022.
