2022: Drone Video of the Week - Episode 51

Multiple Drone Video of the Week/Month Winner denisbarbas brings us this magnificent drone video from the Dolomite Mountains, which span across the Trentin-Alto-Adigion and Veneto Regions in northeastern Italy.  In the highly inspiring piece, you'll follow this talented content creator on a spiritual journey through some of the world's most stunning alpine scenery, with views ranging from the iconic Lake Lake Braies (Pragser Wildsee) in the province of South Tyol to the famed three-peaked Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Drei Zinnen).  

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner davetke2002 brings us this outstanding drone video from the fabled beaches of El Nido in the Philippines.  El Nido is a first class municipality which sits at the tip of the peninsula which juts out from the northeastern end of the Palawan, the westernmost main island of the Philippines archipelago.   El Nido consistently ranks amongst the world's top beach destinations, appearing near the top of a recent Condé Nast Traveler's list of "20 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World." 

Take an aerial tour of the mountains, canyons, and deserts of Utah in this fantastic video by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Drone_Alaska.  The video features footage from the following locations: Monument Valley, which is famous for its red sandstone formations and is located near Utah's southern border with Arizona; the Valley of the Gods, just to the north of Monument Valley; Coral Pink Sand Dunes, a bit to the west; Bonneville Salt Flats, just west of the Great Salt Lake in northern Utah; and Moab, in east-central Utah.   

Check out this drone video from the Highlands of Iceland, compliments of new AirVuz contributor Alexandre Velluet x Scandia Productions.  The Icelandic Highlands is a series of plateaus which cover much of the interior of the island.  They are very sparsely populated and not easily accessible by road.  Most of the video was filmed in the area between Landmannalaugar (an area of the Fjallabak Nature Reserve, in the south-central part of the country) and the Vatnajokull Glacier in the island's southeastern corner.  

Check out this fantastic 2022 drone showreel by top AirVuz contributor ugurevin, which was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in late 2022.  Most of the footage in the reel was captured in Turkey, with some additional shots from the African country of Tanzania.  At about the :18 mark, you'll see the famous hot air ballooning scene over the "fairy tale" rock castles of Turkey's Cappadoccia area.  Other highlights include some incredible shots from the mountains of Turkey and some amazing shots from an air show.
