2021 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 50

Check out this magnificent first person view (FPV) drone reel from the Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot EPIFANOVKZ.  The video features footage from the following locations, in order of appearance: the chalk mountains of Bozzhyra in the Mangystau Region's Ustyurt Plateau, the Tekes River Valley, Almaty Peak, the Aktau Mountains, the Martian landscapes of Shekelmes in the East Kazakhstan Region, the Sibinski Lakes, Charyn Canyon, Lake Kaindy, Lake Arasan, Bestyubinskoe Reservoir, and more.

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Winner AndriThor brings us another stunning aerial video of the North Atlantic island nation of Iceland.  The video opens with some shots of the glaciers which cover much of the island, representing some of the largest ice sheets outside of the North and South Poles.  Then you'll take in some sights from the Icelandic coastline, which is famous for its black sand beaches and spectacular rock formation.  You'll also be taken over the Highlands and other areas on the interior of the island.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner denisbarbas used the new DJI Mavic 3 drone to create this stunning aerial video of Italy's Dolomite Mountains.  With its Hasselbad 4/3 sensor and telephoto lens, the new DJI quad is a perfect platform for filming some of the world's most spectacular alpine landscapes.  The Dolomite Mountains are part of the Southern Limestone Alps.  Known for their spectacular rocky peaks more than for their sheer altitude, the Dolomites are spread across several provinces of northeastern Italy.  

Check out these stunning Fall drone views from Door County, Wisconsin, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilor imtunz.  The video was created with a combination of first person view (FPV) and gimbal-stabilized drone footage, shot during the height of the Autumn colors season.  Door County lies on a peninsula which protrudes from the eastern side of the state into Lake Michigan, creating Sturgeon Bay in the gap between the peninsula and the mainland.  It's considered one of the premiere getaway destinations in the US Midwest.  

For his third upload to AirVuz, contributor moritzjkr brings us this magnificent drone video from the ski slopes of the Alps Mountains.  The video was shot with a 360 degree GoPro mountained to a first person view (FPV) racing quad, combined with footage taken from a camera mounted to the skier himself.  It's some of the best FPV skiing footage we've seen yet, demonstrating the power of FPV drone (when flown by highly skilled pilots) to capture some of the world's fastest-moving action sports scenes.
