One of the most magnificent aspects of Norway's Lofoten Islands is that the climate is relatively temperate despite the archipelago's latitude within the Arctic Circle. Once relatively unknown compared to spots further south, the Lofoten Islands have become an up-and-coming destination of Norway. Top AirVuz content creator and drone pilot Ryzone traveled to this amazing region of northwestern Norway, creating this epic three minute video record of the trip. This video earned a Drone Video of the Week nomination in March 2021.

Top AirVuz contributor and pilot dronefate put his DJI Mavic Air 2 and Mavic Mini 2 drones to good use creating this very impressive "dronelapse" mini-reel. The shooting and editing method - in which thousands of still pictures are taken and stiched together showing the universe in a "speed up" mode - is made possible with drones that can remain in the air for a half hour or more. Shot over the skyscrapers of Dubai as well as across the expanse of Canada, this video was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in March of 2021.

New contributor cumhurbuyuktas brings us this excellent drone video from Istanbul, Turkey, which was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in March, 2021. The video opens with a shot of the Ortaköy Mosque, which is situated on the Bosphorus Strait a bit north of the Golden Horn and which dates to the mid-19th century. Then you'll "pivot" to the nearby Bosphorus Bridge (aka the 15th July Martyr's Bridge), the first (and southernmost) of the three bridges which span the strait and connect the European and Asian sides of the city.

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor on.the.level brings us this excellent drone video of Katowice, Poland. One of the country's dozen largest cities, it's part of the province of Silesia, in the southwestern part of the country. It lies near the Silesian coal fields, one of Poland's most important natural resources. The region had been part of Prussia (the core of modern Germany) but came under Polish control after World War I, where it's remained but for six years of German occupation/annexation in World War II.
