2019 Drone Video of the Week - Episode 1

Our first Drone Video of the Week winner for 2019 is My year of 2018 by al_ca_la!

Content creator Santiago Alcala Cardenas says he built his first drone and attached a GoPro on top. That was when he fell in love with aerial video and made the choice to drop out of school and start his life as a filmmaker. He says he was so nervous at first since everyone else was still studying in school and he was just teaching himself, but he’s proud of the work he has done and has come to realize he is pretty good at it! This is a compilation of his first few years of work, doing what he says he loves to do. Santiago flew a DJI Mavic Pro and DJI Inspire 2 with the X5S camera, and shot additional footage with a GoPro and a Sony A7SII. His work has been featured in our Annual Reels: Best of 2018 Collection.
