The North Pole Journey
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Top AirVuz contributor Makhorov won another Drone Video of the Week contest with this fantastic video from one of the most forbidding places on Earth - the North Pole. The video was filmed from a Russian icebreaker, which is about the only way to reach the northernmost point on the planet. Unlike the South Pole, which sits on a continental landmass, the North Pole is covered by a constantly-shifting blanket of ice floating atop the Arctic Ocean, which is nearly 14k ft. deep (a bit under 4.3k m).

I have been to the North Pole six times and captured many incredible moments! I even released a 80-minute documentary dedicated to a journey to one of the most hard-to-reach places on Earth. The film is titled “The Pole: A Dream of the North." https://youtu.be/AAv0JgIn2Q4?si=oRhVdBbpGN7ScxSj
And in this short video, I’ve put together my very best footage shot with a drone!
